I wonder if the home club of Marvel games could choose. Roof open and bigger crowd or roof closed and capped crowds. I'd suggest it would boil down to onfield benefit (win) v off field benefit (ticket sales and profit).

Friday night would be an interesting choice. Shower or two and 15 is Friday's forecast, but roof open means dew would be likely and would make our game less clean than it otherwise would be.

Could almost go back to round 1 scenario where 50% capacity with home club getting 80% of available tix. Now that would certainly give us a decent advantage...

Lol calm down, everyone's been discussing that his disposal/decision making has been poor in the vfl.

I like him but he's pretty raw. I've enjoyed watching the "Garcia in" movement gain unstoppable momentum on here despite VFL reports of a small mid who can't kick. Who knows hopefully our lord and saviour Bevo brings him in and he dominates like our next captain Anthony Scott.

Just a thought on crowds. The call would need to be tomorrow swap the Friday game to the G and return game to Marvel. If this allows the maximum crowd to attend Friday.

Hannan, definitely.

Worried about Weightman when the going gets tougher for him as it will next week. He must be on the radar now.

Going to be interesting to see how Bailey Smith and JJ go next week too. They have had a bit of a revival against mediocre opposition over the last couple of weeks.

I wonder a little about Josh Bruce too, I still remember last season.

Anyway, fingers crossed, but let's see how we go against quality opposition. I have not forgotten the Richmond game, despite the glories of thrashing the Saints last weekend.

Melbourne are a quality side and will be top 4 this year.

This Friday is a 50/50 game in my view.

If we had a full list, with Dunks and Treloar and English etc, then I would back us in.

But we have a few key outs, and there is uncertainty over English, so that evens the ledger and maybe makes Melbourne slight favourites.

I’m not across Melbourne’s injury list. Do they have many key outs?

Good point forgot about him, pretty equal with Baz I’d reckon. Definitely don’t have a big advantage over them like we would if they were had Treloar & Dunks, I still think Bont, Macrae, Libba & Baz is as good as any top 4 in the comp

I expect a 5 day lockdown I think. No Games in Melbourne and some fixture adjustments like pies at Geelong and tigers in Adelaide. Leaving saints, norf, dees, & dogs with a bye this week instead of at their respective byes or maybe move both games to Ballarat if it's available.

Though I doubt the AFL will do that.

Regardless of what happens on Friday night, I expect we will be quite competitive, which actually says a lot about our list given who we won't have out there. Our first 2 rucks (although I've been impressed with big Sweeter), Dunkley and Treloar out of our midfield and we can still go into a game boasting a pretty strong on-ball brigade.

If we can halve our next 4 games and pick up 2 wins, we will be sitting 11-3 with lots of players about to come back and the toughest stretch of our draw behind us.

Playing all 4 of Cordy, Lipinski, Schache and West against Richmond was the big problem that game imo.

Hopefully we never make the same mistake again.

I would be very surprised if there were no games in Melbourne. Perhaps they'll be played behind closed doors, but there's no urgent need to move the location of the games or the times. I think next week will be the bigger problem if states start shutting their borders.
