I just don't understand why they'd differentiate between a hand trip or a leg trip when to me they seem equally dangerous.
Equally dangerous? Are you kidding me? Throwing a leg out at someone else's leg/feet is a lot more dangerous than grabbing someone's foot. There is a reason that you are allowed to tackle by the shoe laces in other sports but not allowed to trip using your leg.

I like how I hated Sheridan before everyone else. I am a hipster.
Congratulations, you voiced your stupid before a few others caught up. You can be the organiser of the next stupid get together.

Yeah thought he was pretty mediocre today. Want to give him time but he needs to show a lot more to establish himself as an AFL footballer. He's on track to being the new James Walker.
Gifted athlete and 150 game player? Awesome.

From memory the circumstances were pretty different, yes?

I may need to see the incident again, due to the concern here, but from memory Balla was at full pace chasing, attempting a tackle, and stumbled, (got a nudge?) and clipped his opponents ankle??

A definite trip, but no different to a clumsy "legged" decision for mine. A free kick was played. Play on.
Correct. Ballas was at full pace reaching out to tackle, then got bumped and in the process of falling down reached out and touched a boot. Nothing in it at all.

Having said that, it was Ballas, so probably 4-6 weeks.

4-6 would be a little too clear when we are talking about the MRP. Probably more looking at somewhere between 3 and 9.

Are you saying it's cowardly? Or is it a sign that I do, actually, have a decent idea on what a natural footballer is and isn't? He's not even that skinny either, blokes like Jack Macrae, Martin Gleeson, and Paul Seedsman are the guys you class as skinny. Most 18-year old blokes who play footy are slim enough.

I just agree with pavsbootlace essentially. He really tries hard. He does. It's not his effort it's just his innate ability to know what to do. He can run well and he has nice skills but he never unlocks the play with a kick. It's always the first option and when there's tight packs and blokes leading free 35 metres away, I don't think the first option is always the right one.

And I was watching him today as old Johnson had to keep pointing and telling him where to run defensively. Several times, Johnson had to take the man of Sheridan simply because Sherro couldn't suss running patterns or understand how to limit leads and things like that. Of course, being a young kid up against bigger names is going to leave you a deer in headlights. That is, unless you're some kind of freak with natural composure and assurance. But Sheridan doesn't seem to have the awareness or ability to see something and do something about it.

My positives: when Hill picks up the footy and decides he wants to do something... he is a joy to watch. That bit where he sliced through a pack of Bulldogs players, and it was so clinical I thought the umpire had actually blown to stop, and he hits Pav right on the palms was just good footy. He also took that really gutsy mark and converted it and that was so endearing; to see him step up and do something like that.

He's a kid, he gets a lot of it at WAFL level. Only a matter of time until he is a good AFL player. Plenty of players start their careers slowly and end up being good players. For example Gary Ablett jnr, should he have been cut? Sheridan probably needs another two preseasons to be a consistent AFL player, and constantly switching between Peel and Freo won't help him. Composure, decision making, running patterns will all come in time. And so our veterans are telling our kids where to run, big deal. Johnson tells everyone where he wants them to defend.

Didn't want to put in speculations until we are sure of the potential outs with Ballas, hill or fyfe.

Still, only potential in seem like Sylvia, who have been emergency for the last weeks.

Vibe from the coaches comments seem like mora, Griffin, Kep doesn'tdoesn't seem ready yet

This is the second time that I have seen the Gablett jnr comparison.

I mean...REALLY?

Their personal circumstances are that far removed to make it nothing but a ludicrous suggestion.

Tommy doesn't do enough, is vanilla and a seagull. Looks great when he has time, but is a deer in the headlights at the suggestion of pressure.

I've been telling you all that for weeks.

But, but, but...he's only young, he's only skinny etc, etc, etc

What's next? His mum was mean to him?

RTB needs to reef him fair up the coight with Sandi's size 22.

What were you telling us when Hilly first started out?

out: Sheridan
In: Sylvia/Grey/Morabito one of them 3

Yeah I think so. I would imagine Sheridan will have a few things to work on in the WAFL so unlikely to see him again for a while. I think you can add Crozier to your list, but I would like to see him dominate WAFl for another three weeks before re-consideration.

I really can't see us getting less output from Sylvia or Mora so maybe it is time. Grey is the exciting one by the sounds but isn't he really just getting used to WAFL level let alone AFL, but great if he is ready. Silvagni is the other one of course who might just slot straight back in depending on match ups (that actually sounds more like the RTB. Way).

If fyfe is out with injury, who would replace him? - Mora? Sylvia? Crozier?

Or does Duffield push up and ibbo stay back?

Been looking forward to this match since that semi final in 2012....

The Reason why is that Taylor Walker carved us up with those 5 goals. McPharlin was out injured in that game. Lets see how Walker will go against a decent key defender.

Given our luck this year, if Ballaz isn't suspended for falling over then Fyfe/Hill will miss with injury.

Either way, I expect Sylvia to come in for any one of them.
