This Saturday Richmond play their final game of the 2023 season at the MCG in what is the farewell game for 2 Richmond Legends in Trent Cotchin and Jack Riewoldt. These 2 have played a massive role in the way the club went from being a basket case at the end of 2009 to now being one of the biggest powerhouses in the AFL.

Anyone who can get to the game should get there to farewell these 2 greats in the manner that they deserve.

As for the game itself, North aren't going to be a walk in the park for us especially given the form that we've shown over the last 2 games, while North pushed Essendon all the way last week and led Melbourne at half time the week prior. They have a good young midfield group who can use the ball well, while Larkey is averaging just under 3 goals a game, however they will be a little weaker up forward with Stephenson & Zurhaar both being put on the shelf for the remainder of the season, while young gun Wardlaw will also be missing. The game also is the final Melbourne game for former North skipper Jack Ziebull so they will also be looking to send him out as a winner given they haven't won since round 2 this year.

As we all know it's Trent & Jacks final game as well as the clubs final game in Melbourne for the year so we will be just as eager to finish the season with a win especially in the final game that the Holy Trinity - Trent Jack & Dusty play together. As mentioned above our form the last 2 weeks hasn't been that great and we've really struggled to hit the scoreboard while also looking slow and lacking fluidity in our ball movement. It will be interesting to see just how much of a difference the occasion impacts on our performance this week. We will need to improve drastically if we want to send our heroes off with a win.

Potential Line Up
Out: D.Rioli Coulthard
In: Cotchin Hopper

B: Young Balta Grimes
HB: Short Broad Vlastuin
C: McIntosh Taranto Ross
HF: Pickett Cotchin Baker
F: Riewoldt Martin Bauer

Cannot see it RT for a variety of reasons. Kudos to Riewoldt and Cotchin who will go out with a comfortable win.

Soldo and Nank hasn't worked. I'd play Ryan.
I'd rest Hopper this week & Cotch next week and give Dow another good look as midfielder. I'd bring IN Cumberland for Pickett. Cumbo had a good game before injury & must play.

try and kick a score

Backline has been too under the pump. Grimes & Balta copping every c&&t on fire.

But Mini ain't ringing the changes in terms of different players used. Usually we are at 37 players but we've used 32 so far this season. I'd like to have a look at Bownn or Tresize. Bigoa again. See what they bring.

Cotchin failed to train today according to Ceasar on PRE, while Jack spent the session just watching on. Daniel was in the rehab group while Graham was running on his own while the rest of the group were doing game drills.
