Has anyone ever missed an entire season from a hamstring (ie. Josh Gibcus)…?
I just can’t recall that, even one ripped from the bone (ie. Lloydo many moons ago)…I just don’t get it…

I think it's a matter of he probably could play but is the long term risk worth it? I trust the club just want the kid to have an injury free future and giving him the best shot at that. He's probably chomping at the bit.

Sucks that it's as the sub! But stoked he gets an opportunity. It was evident watching him at VFL level he could be an asset at AFL level.
I suspect it will be Mansell in for MRJ, Coulthard for Ralphsmith as the new sub.

honestly, i wouldn't have minded it if the VFL was on the next day, so if he only gets to play in the 4th qtr, he'd be able to chuck the boots on sunday after having a run around in the AFL side on saturday. or he gets enough time due to another player getting meehan'd and it's close enough to a full debut
