Not going to talk about specific players because it really depends how people play tomorrow in the WAFL.
But something's gotta give. We can't keep on scoring 65 points and expect to win games. We need to bring in SOMEONE who can take a grab and help put on some scoreboard pressure, because right now we look impotent when we go forward. I hesitate to say the game has changed or we've been found out (round 1 against Collingwood proves that's incorrect), we just need to find the right mix. And it can't just be because we're missing Walters... he doesn't add 4-5 goals a game by himself.
Hard to say before watching the Thunder tomorrow, but Mayne, D.Pearce, Duff and Crozier should all be relatively close to the chopping block.
He did the last time we played Port..
Well that's not a great sample size but really... one player doth not make a forward line.
Oh this should be good..
Bit harsh on Mayne. I thought he was quite good today and is slowly building back to where he was last season.
Mayne is not a tall forward and doesn't play as one. We have midfielders taller than him. If Pav is being double teamed then it's not Mayne's fault that the midfielders are still kicking it to Pav.
You're right it's not Mayne's fault, it's the fault of the selection committee who pick him instead of a tall forward. Not saying we should drop Mayne, but we shouldn't be picking him instead of a 2nd tall. Pick him instead of one of our other "defensive forwards".
What 2nd tall are you talking about? Tabs? Still raw and doesn't offer anything more than Mayne as the second tall. Gumby? Injured. Apeness? Injured and needs to build back up in the WAFL again.
I'm talking about the 2nd tall that every other team in the comp plays.
griffen bradley will get back into the team soon add morrobitto and sylvia and things will look up very quickly after the bye
He doesn't by himself but he adds an element of danger that keeps opposition defenders second guessing and therefore opens the game up for Mayne and Ballantyne to get free. Not going to talk about specific players because it really depends how people play tomorrow in the WAFL.

It's too late by then if we've already lost 5. Can't win a premiership from the bottom of the 8. These changes should have been made a month ago.
Tell that to Wingard. He doesn't by himself but he adds an element of danger that keeps opposition defenders second guessing and therefore opens the game up for Mayne and Ballantyne to get free.
However ability to post big scores shouldn't come down to a single small forward. Really the lack of class in general forward of centre hurts, as well as the complete lack of ability for the midfield to score goals.
To get that magical 100 point per game mark players like Mundy needed to contribute, but he's continued being goal shy this season.
Did you actually watch the game?Hard to say before watching the Thunder tomorrow, but Mayne, D.Pearce, Duff and Crozier should all be relatively close to the chopping block.
What happened to him? Carded again? These are the times when I most miss bushie.
