Didn't know he wrote that.

PooMonkey is a flog and I withdraw my support on that issue (even though I still believe he did not lie about what he heard)

Carry on

good to see you attempt to defend your boyfriend ...but you are flogging a dead horse ...both you and he have been added to the trolls list .

Rumour has it that in September Kreuz had a minor setback in his recovery and needed to be operated on again. Im not sure what the setback was, all i know is that it was not healing as it should have been. There could be a real possibility that he will not return until round 11 this year.

I know for sure that the hickup is true, the return date however i'm thinking could be fluff, and a return earlier more than likely. Time will tell...

Praying nothing else goes wrong.

As suggested round 11 is a minor possibility, realistically we are looking at round 12-14

I've heard the Surjan one before. Could have been last years trade period.

Also, not sure if I like the one about a new CEO. I know it's just a rumour, but still not something I want to hear.

Mentioned in the Dennis Armfield thread that theres a rumour going around that Carlton have an interest in trying to get Jacob Surjan to Visy Park.

Would be all for it.

From memory, there were murmurings that Surjan was close to coming to Carlton during last years trade period.

For mine, Surjan is a very good small defender. We often struggle with small forwards so having a real solid option to put on them will help us immensely.

He's also tough as nails and he does seem to be rather out of favour at Port, which I find astounding to be honest.

In a team that continuously shows itself to have no backbone, I would have thought that a player that gives 100% each and every week would be a certain starter in their best 22.

As long as he isn't too expensive, and I can't see why he would be, I'd be really happy to see him in Navy Blue in 2012 and beyond.

I thought he looked good against the Suns and Magpies. Feels like he was 'rushed out' of the team and haven't heard anything since.

Hasn't been that great defensively in the VFL, offensively he kills it though. He's just one that needs time and isn't quite ready at this stage, nothing wrong with that considering he's only 18.

Thornton hasn't been that bad of late.

I'm with Sin, too injury prone...we also had a look at him in the trade period last year and it didn't work out. Not sure what Port would want from us either....You'd assume it'd be one of our young'uns as there's not much hope of another premiership any time soon for them.

Intensity not god enough at VFL level at the minute and his pace, or lack of, is being exposed big time. Not even close at the minute.

Agree with the intensity part, I sense he is a little tired at this point of the season. He is just lacking that desperation defensively which he is going to need when in the AFL.

I feel he will be at least 2 years away because he needs to do a 'Casboult' and shed some KG's and tone up. Once he gets an AFL level fitness base I think his lack of pace won't really be an issue. Fitness is the key here.

Pick 40 is optimistic TBH.

I love AJ and have been a supporter of his for a while. But a shutdown small defender isn't really what we need in defence (also my view on Surjan in part, although Surjan happens to have a much better offensive game and can probably run through the middle).

I would (sadly) not be surprised to see AJ gone at the end of the year

He looked promising, but he isn't ready yet.

In years gone bye we would have thrown him to the wolves but at present there is absolutely no need to rush him into the senior side.

He's only 18.

Let him work on his game in the VFL. He's a really promising kid but he's not ready for the rigours of AFL football just yet. Keep him down at the Bullants for the majority of the year to play himself into some form and really improve the parts of his game that are lacking and need improvement at this stage of his career.

Not interested in Surjan .
He is 27 next year and his injury list is mounting , ( McClean )
We already have Russell ,Yarran , Armfield , Scotland , Joseph , Tuohy and at a pinch Davies that can play as small defenders .
