Analysis Season without a draw

So many close games this season but all decided in the end. It seems hard to find statistics about this (at least for me, I am putting it out there because I am sure some of you know). When did it last happen that there was no tied match in an AFL season? How often does it happen?

Last happened in 2016. Before that, 2004.

Almost happened in 2012 and 2014 as well, both of those seasons had no draws until the final round.

Yeah it's not that uncommon.

Also it sounds like one of the easiest stats one could find.

GWS seem to have played in a weird number of draws. Was it last year or the year before they drew twice?
