Ok the above was Sakala but it is going to be fun to see Beale completely unwind. Guy talks some amount of s**t, can't help himself at all, you can tell he is a coach and not a manager by his lack of media savvy. He has got a free pass so far because his dumb comments about Celtic and the rest of the league are lapped up and his results up until the cup, if not the football played, have been decent. Soon as the results turn he is going to be chewed up and spat out by Rangers fans. Gio sacked on the back of a Euro final and winning the Scottish cup, he wouldn't want to go trophyless for the season.

The relegation battle was a little one sided on the weekend, 11th placed Ross County defeated 12th placed Dundee United 4-0 at Global Energy Stadium to move 4pts clear and up to 10th.

And after my rant a month ago where I said we won't stay up this season we have been the fourth best performing team in the league and are starting to score goals.

The Morelos push on Johnston was a soft foul, but it was still a foul, writing a letter to the SFA over a decision that is technically correct is sad.

But it is just full on embarrassing for them when the manager and captain come out post game and claim a handball against Jota. You can't even say that with a straight face

Loch Ness FC have won the North Caledonian Football League (tier 6 in the Scottish pyramid) title for 2022/23 and have qualified for the playoffs with a chance of promotion to the Highland Football League and will also participate in the Scottish Cup next season.

Rangers midfield has a solid foundation with Raskin, Cantwell and Tillman. Probably lacks an SPL specialist hammer thrower maybe Lundstram. But, the real problems are at either end of the pitch. The attacking third is shite with bored players like Kent and Morelos, guys who probably aren’t good enough such as Colak and Sakala as well as the permanently injured Hagi, Roofe and Lawrence. The defence bar Goldson is rotten and he isn’t exactly flawless himself. As a result, Rangers concede comically s**t goals and fail to take the clear opportunities that the midfield give them.

Major rebuild required.

The Staggies kept their chances of Premiership survival alive tonight thanks to a 2-0 win against Livingston. We are now a point behind Dundee United and Kilmarnock with four games to play. Next week we are away to Dundee United. Big game coming up.

The split causes a few issues with the fixture but it keeps the fate of a team in their own hands at the business end of the season for relegation/european spots

I do think the Scots should look at increasing the number of teams in the SPFL to 14 teams and perhaps reduce the number of leagues to 3, each with 14 teams. It reduces the need for splitting the top league for the final month of the season and would hopefully increase TV rights and revenue, but it will never happen.

That's because all the money goes to two sides who buy titles and the broadcast deal is horrible that just embedded this two team duopoly. If you were to create a more even competition then yeah you would have the talent, we've seen 10 of the sides being competitive against eachother, with rangers dropping points to them also.

Yeah some of the budgets of teams outside top two are tiny. Looks bad when Motherwell lose to Sligo Rovers in euro qualifiers.

Didn't help that Alexander lost the dressing room and for whatever reason wasn't able to build on the squad he had over the off-season. They didn't get reinforcements until January.

Ross County concede a 95th minute goal and draw 3-3 with St Johnstone. Costs us a very valuable 2pts and means we will need to win next week at Kilmarnock to guarantee Premiership football next season.



It won't be the end of the world if we lose, unless Dundee United win 8-0 away at Motherwell, we will play in a relegation playoff.
