Dude that's so harsh. St Kilda was founded in 1873.
And how many premierships have they won?
Arrghh, we all know the answer. One.
You might want to give the Suns a few more years lol.
But recent history shows us that no sport survives up there. Union, Basketball, A League all died.. Gold Coast Titans are on the verge of being shut down. The Gold Coast Suns could literally be the last professional sporting club standing up there.
St Kilda was at least in a city/town that had football supporters, and they would have had good support since inception. Although a smaller club throughout the years, they were still in a place where people were interested in football, even though they didn't win anything.
Gold Coast is just a place I can't see taking off at all. The people that are there are tourists and old people. And this article from 2015 is quite interesting. Basically states that people don't like sports there because of all the other things there are to do.. again coming back to the fact that people go there for environment and entertainment, not to watch sports.
