Surjan vs Symes

Symes was traded to Adelaide from Port last year, instead of Surjan. who's been better this year?

Since when did we go for Symes instead of Surjan? Won't vote because I don't know enough about Surjan, but I have been impressed with Symes, his disposal is sometimes questionable but seems to be improving, but his attack on the ball is absolute top notch and is an elite ball winner. Will probably never be a superstar or anything, but a good 2nd tier player definitely.

Symes racks up cheap stats, but isn't damaging, and has almost no defensive side to his game. He didn't really bring much to our side, and I'd imagine when all the Crows young guys come through he wont be making their side either.

One glaring error.

Symes couldn't make our side, and only came in last year when Wilson was injured.

That game was the single most embarrassing performance any team has offered up this decade.

We were great all year until we picked Symes.

Umm, you sure?
He has had two consecutive weeks of six tackles a match, and has also had 8 tackles twice this season even though this year has been injury riddled with regards to Symes. Surjan is slow and has average skills, the only thing he has is courage and a bit of grunt. Not saying Surjan is cr@p, but Symes is clearly better imo.
Surjan if anyone has no defensive side to his game, has only gotten over 5 tackles once this season.

He's not bad, he works pretty hard. he's just never going to win you a game or dominate an opponent or beat a good opponent one on one.
