Abbas was shot in his driveway as he was getting in to this car. After being shot Abbas was able to run back into the home and call emergency services. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital in a serious condition.
He said there were "one if not more" offenders who are yet to be identified.
"This is clearly a targeted and brazen shooting," he said.
"The circumstances that we know at the moment are very concerning."
Abbas has represented a number of high-profile clients including former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer, and ex-NRL player Jamil Hopoate in recent years.
Last year, underworld figure Mahmoud "Brownie" Ahmad was allegedly murdered on the same Greenacre street.
This latest shooting comes after three people were shot Mayvic Street, Greenacre on Sunday morning.
