The Sydney Swans Best & Fairest is tomorrow night at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. The event will be screened live on Swans TV




Other awards that will be announced on the night include:

• Adam Goodes Trophy (Runner up, best and fairest)
• Peter Bedford Trophy (Third, best and fairest) = James Rowbottom
• Rising Star Award = Angus Sheldrick
• Dennis Carroll Award for Most Improved = Hayden McLean
• Barry Round Best Clubman Award = Harry Cunningham
• Paul Kelly Players' Player = Errol Gulden
• VFL Player of the Year = Corey Warner
• VFL Development Squad - Player of the Year. = Jake Bartholomaeus

Sorry if silly question, but what is the criteria for best clubman?

Its someone who has done their very best on and off the field, sacrificed his game for the team but will probably not receive the accolades he should. In short, demonstrates outstanding care for his team mates, invests time and interest in all levels of the playing group and champions the clubs values.

Rising star is a difficult one as most of them barely had time to prove anything before getting injured again
Think you're pretty much on the mark for it though.

Last year's Skilton count was a grand final side, north of 15 players genuinely could've been top 10, we had 4 All Australians, so many contenders for most improved, players player, had a good run with injuries, etc. = no live stream

This year's Skilton count a side that scraped into 8th, obvious winner, can count the players that improved on one hand, had many players miss a heap of footy with injuries, etc. = look guys, we're live streaming this one!
