If I'm Jack Fitzpatrick I'm walking at seasons end. There's five games remaining this season and Roos has already flagged there won't be any changes this week. That leaves four possible games left for him to get a crack at AFL this season. He is going to win the Casey B and F in a canter yet hasn't been selected at AFL level despite Chris Dawes' atrocious 'form'. We will lose him and mark my words he will be our next SME. He's very quick and is an elite mark, what sides aren't looking for a 200cm player like that?!
It's been great that JT is consistently bringing in guns but you don't want them walking out the door at the other end of the room either. He should have been given a dozen games this year.
Is Jamar ineligible for the Casey B n F? He would surely be in the running. Fitz has been good, but certainly won't 'win in a canter' I wouldn't have thought.

Agree though, Roos asks for strong form in the vfl befor being any chance of getting a game, but there have been many occasions this season where the ins for the seniors have not really matched up with those playing the best for Casey. Still, no one really had a shocker against the pies though..

Agree with the sentiments regarding Fitz, but he's not coming in for Dawes because he's been re-trained as a defender (and doing it damn well by the sounds of things) rather than a tall forward.

But if i was him, I'd be seeking a trade too. A team that has a lack of KPDs (Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Carlton etc) would be wise to try to grab him on the cheap and offer him regular senior opportunities.

Has Fitz played a good game for us in the seniors this year?

Wouldn't count his heroic efforts on 1hb Boyd as much of a win, the kid is their 3rd best forward, hasn't exactly set the league on fire and he was able to peel off as the loose in defence for 3/4 of the game.

Reckon he could be a 150 Game player at another club though, is capable of being a 40 goal a season forward
40 a season? Hogan will barely get that this year.
At best Fitzy will be the 3rd tallforward/relief ruck, a goal a game, 20-25 a season

Some pretty shit players have kicked 40 goals in a season before, and fitzy has shown he can kick goals in the worst melbourne side of all time
Either way he has enough talent to make it at AFL level

I remember once a couple of years back, someone got over-excited about our Clark/Dawes forward combo and predicted about 6 players to kick over 40 goals. As it turned out, our leading goal scorer had 20-odd. Would love to see that post. May even have been you nickgrant69.

I doubt it was me, I was in canada and never even saw Mitch Clark play for us

We'll all die wondering what a Clark/Dawes/Hogan/Watts/Kent/Petracca/Garlett forward rotation would have looked like.

(Probably injury plagued)

Add Jurrah and Wonna and we could have had one of the best forward mixes of all time

I reckon Dawes would be watching the rest of that team from Casey.

Jeezus.

Please tell me Toumpas was injured?

Surely Toump had to have been injured, if not then that is a massive worry.

Salem and JKH getting their hands on the football is encouraging, I hope we bring Salem back to play the remaining games this year.

I know this is hard to swallow, but Toump played the full game.

There are reports of a virus going through the club this week, and I believe it goes part of the way to explaining low output from Jones and Vince in the senior game - I can only hope Toumpas had similar issues.

I belive Watts may also have been affected.

It would explain the low output of a number of players
Lumumba, Brayshaw, Jones and Vince all having under 15 touches
