If a player misses out because of concussion or a torn hamstring, so be it, that's footy.

I think the issue is that with a torn hamstring a player is physically incapable of performing at the level they would need to. However, with a concussion the player could perform just fine, it would just be unsafe to do so. To me the bye removes the possibility of clubs trying to cheat their way around the rule.

That being said I’m still not sure I like the bye, but the concussion issue is a very valid reason for it.

Don't like the bye, but know it's the only way to overcome the concussion stuff

Ideally, I would prefer a longer season, and a top 6 finals

1 and 2 first week off

Lowest placed winner 0lays the minor premier

Winners play off in grand final.

Don't mind the bye, but they need to fill it with something. Either save all the awards for the bye week, or play another game of some kind.

imagine a weekend footy festival with all the wafl/sanfl/bastardised vfl grand finals played on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
