No. There's an important question to be answered here. Why?

Boris Johnson was right up front in the Brexit referendum and now PM May has unleashed his boyish enthusiasm upon an unsuspecting world as Foreign Secretary. Black tie events with off colour ethnic jokes are his stock in trade; who better to be the face of Britain while they negotiate their way out of Europe.

Off colour? His effort re Erdogan was impressive.

There was a young fellow from Ankara

Who was a terrific wa.nkerer

Till he sowed his wild oats

With the help of a goat

But he didn’t even stop to thankera

OP is wrong on both points.

Denier!

Runs rings around them and extraordinarily successful in becoming mayor despite immigration turning London in to Labour territory.

Pity Australia doesn't have anything similar (well Keating to an extent but his lines were generally stolen from others)

How's this turning out for the UK?

Not brilliant. Boris choked, listened to the so called "experts" and idiotically enforced a hard lockdown. Now wonders why so few are going back to work.

His only defence is that he was led by the so called "experts" and the opposition wanted even "tougher" measures.

It has long been obvious to everyone bar the utterly stupid that the forecasting model from ICL was a joke and that hard lockdowns are a mistake and produce many unintended consequences.

not well cherf ,

de pfeffel became* a bed-wetter

Yes, pathetic. Apparently they realised a while back they massively stuffed things up re closing schools, telling people to work from home etc but they painted themselves in to a corner and can hardly admit they were completely wrong.

Worth a quote:

Families and children have been profoundly betrayed. Kids have been herded into schools under threat of sanction, with next to no mitigations. They have been promised vaccination that, despite a change in delivery policy over half-term, has yet to materialise for some 80 per cent of 12- to 15-year-olds (in data published near the end of half-term). They have been fed dangerous disinformation. They have been led to believe that they were safe from serious disease when thousands of hospitalisations prove they were not. (Never mind long Covid, which itself is a potential horror story beginning to unfold.)

Children and adults alike have been thrown to the wolves. Acute medicine is once again at breaking point, and the ramifications for non-Covid healthcare, both acute and elective, are by now well known.
