Damo just said on AAA this morning then we shouldn't have the number 1 pick for 3 years in a row.

Get ****ed you 4 eyed twat. It's been the rule forever that if you finish last you get the first pick.

But we didn’t.

Our first number 1 pick was snatched from us after just one year, and trading him out cost us our 2nd number 1 pick.

This year is our first at a number one pick and the chance to keep top talent.

If anything we deserve another number 1 pick after how badly the ALF rules have ducked us around.

Yeah. and I think that's the belief of the club, hence why they are asking for PP.

Only a fraud would celebrate it.

Hey Heath * off you campaigner, I pay over $1500 a year and have done for the last 45 years you ******* a-hole….yes I will celebrate picking up a kid that can improve the absolute ******* s**t I pay my ******* hard earned to go and watch……..

Think he just needed a reality check.
Along with Damo’s outburst, it’s clear to see these guys are just passionate north supporters sick of seeing their team bottom out.
But they’re impatient and don’t have any understanding just how bad this cohort is if they aren’t good enough to understand and execute a winning game of football. And that impatient attitude he and supporters have is pissing me off.
They’re having a hissy fit as the teething process goes on. Reactive displays of emotions isn’t going to accomplish anything.
I'll put my hand up and say I'm having a hissy fit over the fact that West Coast have jumped us. Nothing's brought me more shame this year than the two moments over the last four weeks in which West Coast have showed they were better and had more grit in them than us. But you cannot call anyone melting down impatient. It's been 79 games of s**t.

There was that rumour that went around that Powell and Phillips wanted to hold some sort of specialised handball drill and were laughed out of the place by their teammates. There's the fact that everyone's fitness bar Jy, Larkey, Scott, Sheezel and a couple of others is on the floor. There's the opportunities to win a game that each and every player has failed to take hold of. The standards are so clearly unbecoming for a professional outfit and the players have just stood by and watched it happen.

I don't give a s**t about the unfairness of the draft. Instead of Ashcroft and Daicos we have Sheezel and Wardlaw. Negligible difference. What isn't negligible is the fact that seemingly no players since 2020 except for Jy and Larkey have actively taken it upon themselves to improve the place.

It's frustration over a whole bunch of things that is boiling over for people like Heath and Barrett, and you absolutely cannot blame them. This has been a perfect storm of shitness, and to see this playing group display the same flaws it's had since 2020 is incredible to me. Do none of them have their eyes open? It's obvious to everyone watching, why can't they see it?

It's obviously time for me to take a time out, but you cannot blame any frustrated fan. This place is filled to the brim with negativity because the situation is filled to the brim with s**t. And has been for four years. Simple as

Just need to work out who our Plugger is.

We already have our Paul Kelly.

Nick is now number 1 on this list.

I doubt there is one of us here who wanted to finish last, I doubt there is one of us here who is happy we might finish last BUT if finishing last gets us the opportunity to grab some A grade talent again then so be it.

Is it demoralising to finish last as a fan/supporter (member in my case) yes it is and I don’t like it one bit but we were never going to rise up the ladder in a year, we simply don’t have the cattle to do so for whatever reasons (development, drafting, coaches whatever) unlike other clubs that have risen up they had the building blocks in place a few additions made a difference Harry and George weren’t going to make us into world beaters this year they are 18 yr old kids with talent.

Just look at our list, just look at who we delisted over the last few years and see who was picked up by any club, see who got poached by another club SFA that tells you something right there..

We need to do better but that’s on the players, coaches, development teams and the board (but the board doesn’t recruit players, it doesn’t develop them, it does however put the people in positions to do so, so yes they are also responsible).

What can we do as supporters and members not like any of us are going to get on the park and play a pivotal role in getting us up the ladder, we aren’t going to develop players, we aren’t going to recruit them, we aren’t going to hire the people that can make a difference about all we can do is stick by the club and hope it turns around.

If we don’t stick by the club you will soon see North heading South and I truely see that happening if we lose memberships.

We are passionate about the club otherwise we wouldn’t be posting on this cesspit of a forum (no offence Bigfooty, but there is a lot of s**t on here) but we do post to express our anger, happiness, apathy, frustration and every other emotion that is bundled up being a North supporter.

AND * U DAMMO ( not like any other club that got pick 1 ended up there because of someone else’s fault but their own )….!

There isn’t one non-frustrated fan. And while I’m not here to comfort anyone, I’m merely asking - what’s the best way out? And what’s the best way out in our current predicament?

2023 shouldn’t be a surprise to how 2022 ended. And we knew what we were expecting with 2021’s ‘let’s build a core of midfielders and build around it’ plan.

Do we blame Sonja for this? She overlooked a lot of the Clarkson signing and the last few years? Does she get sack? Do we blame Noble, Roos? Clarkson? Exactly, there is just so many places that we can’t point at one thing, we don’t even know. Not because it’s a mystery - but because there is so much s**t from this shitstorm covering everything.

My personal opinion? And I’ve said it in like every game day thread.

Our list is full of overpaid lazy players who selectively chose when to bring winning intensity to game day. Starting with the captains and ending with Curtis Taylors. And that mindset was instilled into the club since the Scott era. I’m personally hopeful they become filtered out with younger more eager to learn talented players.
I personally don’t want us finishing 17th because then these campaigners would think they’re not the worst team in the league. I want to 18 hold the mirror in every single one of the players faces.

A few people need a reality check as no one has been smashing this thread hoping we finish last.
Everyone that turns up to the game is gutted after a loss or even a stupid mistake by a player.
No one turns up and goes oh s**t Souva’s got 5 and we’re up by 10 or LDU is ripping this game apart please stop.
Funny thing is if weagles hadn’t won we’d still be on two wins but 17th - we are still on 2 wins but now 18th and now ppl are embarrassed. 20 losses in a row is worse than winning a spoon.
It’s about winning and getting the power to manage the trade period will get us to where we want to be quicker.

Exactly.

2 wins is embarrassing regardless if its 17th or 18th, not to mention 21 losses in a row

If it means we get a better draft hand so be it

Everyone and everything's to blame to an extent. The players, Roos, Nobles, the Hawks' investigation, the hub. A chain of misfortune, essentially.

However I still cannot reconcile the utter apathy of the playing group in refusing to address the shithouse standards. There's one thing that you can do without a coach and without a mentor, and that's have a look at yourself, identify your flaws and resolve to address them. Fitness, mental snags that catch you time and time again, skill-related weaknesses. I just don't see an excuse for this sort of extended shitness. I'm not sure why the penny would drop after the third spoon when it didn't after the first or second, but who knows, maybe you're right.

At bare minimum I think they'll be in for a gruelling preseason, and that's the absolute least they deserve

Losing 20 games in a row is crap. What's depressing is knowing that we won't have another win for 6 months at least. There's likely gonna be a whole year between wins.

Bring him in Clarko.
Invite him into the meeting room with the number 1360 written on the white board in big letters, leave him their for 30 minutes by himself, before Clarko enters for a chat.

Lol about the absurdity of it all but that’s essentially what happened with plugger, he was washed up, always injured when he joined Sydney. He was still stkilda leading goal scorer but that didn’t mean much at the time.

agree about some things not going our own way but the mismanagement is diabolical.

-openly killing ben browns trade value for the whole year before we shopped him round was plain silly,
-2nd rounder for ccj also stupid.
-keeping the same bloke in head of development after 10 years and 2 review when there is ample evidence we couldn't develop a bucket of water on a 40 degree day from a block of ice.
-head of recruitment ^^ see above same bloke responsible for WCs basket case list, no coincidences here,

a lot of the issues stem from these points,

i can sort of understand when the were coachless and had unstable president posts the decision to not destabilise the status quo at the time, but now we have a perceived decent leadership at those levels these positions need to be addressed.

i have faith in Jan, Sonja, clarko and viney,

not so much in the rest of the incumbents.
