gees that's a tall side on a day where the midfielders will want heavy rotation through the middle after a 4day break.
Jetta or Houli would have to play for a tall

Ahhh K so Hille's out

don't like having bradley in the side at all.. i think it ruins the balance we have all the talls we need even with Hille out..

hope Lonergan can get in over the next few weeks

It might be a tall side, but it is a flexible side. Let's have a look shall we.

(player) - (Possible positions)
McVeigh - BP, HB flank, onball
Mal - FB
Slattery - BP, tagger
McPhee - HB flank, CHB, onball
Fletcher - FB, CHB
Paddy - Ruck, CHB, HB flank
Dyson - wing, onball, HB flank
Stanton - wing, onball, HB flank
Heffernan - onball, tagger, HB flank
MJ - BP, FP, centre
Lucas - CHF, CHB
Hird - HF flank, HB flank, FF, onball
Davey - FP, onball
Lloyd - FF, CHF
Monfries - FP, onball
Laycock - ruck, FF
Peverill - onball, tagger
Lovett - onball, wing, FP
Bradley - CHB, wing, ruck, bench
Bolton - absolutely anywhere
Johns - FF
Watson - onball

As you can see, apart from 3 players, everyone can play multiple roles. A few can play taller than they are and some can play shorter than they are. I'm not suggesting that these are the BEST positions, but they are positions where they are capable. BTW, if it says HB flank, it basically means a kick behind the play. The bolded positions are the positions I think best suit these players. Obviously the players can't all play in these positions at once, eg two CHF's and 2 FF's. They should be played in the positions they are most comfortable and that fit the team structure best.

IMO, we should play 2 players behind the ball to block Collingwood's small forward's leading space. I know this might not be desireable and it might make the game less of a spectacle, but it could be the best strategy.

Heffernan and Peverill should just follow Swan and H.Shaw everywhere. If we nullify them it wil go a huge way towards winning the game

Whoever Clement goes to should just drag Clement to the goal square so his creative impact is lessened. If he goes to Hird, move Hird straight to the middle. We can not let Clement get into the game. Collingwood will pobably do the same thing to Fletcher, for the same reasons.

Well that is my 3 cents worth (I've said too much for 2 cents :p ) Looking forward to tomorrow. GO BOMBERS

Bolton and Bradley......... couldnt come at a better time
what is this! lol let houli bachar in to replace jetter at least....... then i'll feel more comfortable and confident

Any confidence just left....I expected Keps and fair enough but we are too tall...sweet mother of god............................................I think im going to be sick...

i can not understand for the life of me why both bradley and bolton came in to replace a tall and a small, why not let bachar houli or sam lonergan play or just have kept jetta in the team. all three of those blokes are better options than either bolton or bradley. its going to be great watching both of those blokes running around the MCG tommorow :p

If Bolts breaks even then im happy..He might actually play out of his skin tomorrow as his career at Essendon is on the line..Bradley..well im ok with that..Ive always thoght he will be a ruckman..

ID LOVE TO SEE LONERGAN AND HOULI RUNNING AROUND COME ON SHEEDS!!

Personally I think we wont lose to much from these changes. Recently Hille has been close to useless in the ruck, at least Bradley gives great second and third efforts and would run the opposition ruckman into the ground. Jetta had no impact in the last two games, being a strong athlete and after a ten day break Bolton should be the freshest player on the ground and if he gives 100% (which he should as this should be his last chance) he should make an impact.

But I would have prefered Houli/Hislop/JJ or Lonergan

(player) - (Possible positions)

Bradley - bench
Bolton - bench

Honestly, those selections just make me angry.

Absolutely unnecessary that either are playing.

This is a step backwards, just when things were looking up.
We'll hopefully still win, but neither have any significant role in the future of the Essendon Football Club, so it seems pointless that they're even playing.

That said, I know that Bradley will be like Aaron Henneman.
Absolutely shithouse but a favourite of Sheedy so kept on the list for years too long!
