Holy shit haha.

The thing that I do whilst in the passenger seat and during long drives, is tap my foot each time we pass a light or in-between each of the white lines/strips which is in the middle of the road. Gives me something to do. :thumbsu:

Yeah I do that to, except when the car crosses over shadows I tap the steering wheel. Stupid game, never lasts to long.

Whenever I am at an intersection (usually in the city) waiting for the green man to come up so I can cross the road, and there are lots of people on both sides of the road waiting to cross, I treat it as a competition of who can react quickest to the green man coming up. From then I treat it as a competition of who can cross the road quickest, and I try to be the first person to cross the road (without running)

I also kick football goals through doorways in my house (home alone), except with a little soft football.

*no 5 year old.
This, but with a pair of socks rolled into a single ball.

Wallet left pocket, phone right pocket, keys back left, hankey back right (I NEVER use the hankey, ever. I cannot imagine not having it in my back right, though)

When walking along the footpath I like to 'time my run' so that a certain foot reaches a certain pre-determined landmark that is coming up, if you get what I mean.

I saw someone say they highlight everything they read online; do this obsessively.

Those that play tennis: I have to fix my socks before every serve, without fail. Kinda like Rafa Nadal and his wedgies.

Walk around when brushing teeth, as some of you do.

The 'even number' thing follows me to a few areas of my life. Car radio, TV volume, Weight Reps etc... The only odd numbers that are OK are 3 (which rarely gets used because it's so low), and all multiples of 11.

So many more, so little time.

Final comment/question. I saw a guy in Sydney eat a Kiwi much like you would eat an apple (Skin/Fur and all). Is this normal?!

The idea of this makes my teeth run for cover and my skin crawl...

What if someone jumps the green light (man)? Are they included in the race?

watch the other light. When it stops flashing, count to 5*, start walking.

Your first foot lands in time with the green man. Same principle when driving to avoid having to touch the brake pedal.

(*Depends how fast you count)

when i'm passenger in a car, i try to figure out if something is behind or in front of something else (which is not possible in a moving vehicle as your perspective is changing)

also, when i'm walking on the sidewalk in a direction opposite to traffic, i try to walk on the shadows of the cars driving by.

When im on a crowded train i turn my bluetooth on and look for new devices to see what names some people have, don't wanna find out their real names but you come across some pretty funny ones

Yep I've done this before, it can be very interesting.

When I am in the passenger seat of a car, and looking outside. I imagine there is a stick figure ninja jumping up and through the street. Such as swinging of light poles, leaping over traffic lights, rolling over the top of cars. Shit like that.

I also do the running/avoid crack in floor type one. And when I listen to music, I tap my teeth together in time with the beat.

I try to make words with the letters of the number plate of the car infront of me. I can add any vowels. Extra points if the letters are in the same order.

I'll be amazed if anyone else does this.

I do the dishes every night, when I am about to begin I play a song on my laptop usually a random one and run to the kitchen and start doing the dishes. I win the game if I get back before the song ends.

I try and do it before a set number of songs finish, that number depends on how many dishes there are to do. One song though?

Its just me at home a lot of the time and I don't use too many dishes. 2mins is my record so far...... who let the dogs out really puts you in a fast dishes doing mode.

haha yes the football with socks/small ball whatever, awesome!

Also not trying to go for a laugh (probably because its not funny) but when I look at the clock it's always 9:11. I dont mean to do it but I somehow know its that time. My friends think its pretty weird as well.

your clock has probably just stopped.

Just read through the first 15 pages or so, there's a heap of stuff I can relate with.

The most amazing ones:

  • Having to touch something with your other hand/foot to even things up. It got really bad a few years ago, not as bad now but still happens a fair bit. Like if I'm walking past and I accidentally brush something with my right hand I have to go back and brush it with my left hand in exactly the same position. Honestly thought I was crazy and the only person who did this.
  • Playing backyard, loungeroom, hallway footy etc. Backyard was epic. Had the grand ambition of recreating every game ever played in my backyard lol. Started in 1897 - loved playing as Fitzroy :thumbsu: Would always commentate. Looked stupid when I was intercepting the other team (I was both teams of course :p) Was playing an exhibition match once with Richmond. Smashed a window and blamed Brad Ottens, not myself :p
Had spreadsheets and everything. Loved it but stopped once I was about 12.
  • Loungeroom footy usually involved a small soft footy or a balloon. Would always take screamers over the couch, landed on mattresses piled on top of each other. When I wasn't playing loungeroom footy it was "don't let the balloon touch the ground" or balloon volleyball. Still bust out the balloon volleyball occasionally before we host an event where the couches and tables have all been moved away.
  • Hallway footy was where you gathered up all the socks in the house, closed all the doors in the hallway bar one and then tried kicking the "ball" (socks) through the door. Increased degree of difficulty by having to use rebounds.
  • Eating peas or corn without swallowing. Do this every time. I cringe thinking about chewing the peas/corn and all the juices going into my mouth. Moreso the peas than the corn. Just don't really like either.
A couple of my own:
  • Pong cricket. Could be played in the hallway, loungeroom, backyard wherever. Had epic tournaments with mates and only stopped after about year 8. Doesn't really get old. The best thing was getting a heap of swing with the ping pong balls and bowling them out for ridiculously low totals. A caught and bowled was rare so always used to celebrate those. Used those mini bats you get for signatures as the bats. My mate had about five of them, all different brands so we would use the brand that the batsman plays with. Epic. Also manipulating the ping pong ball by dinting it and then putting it in the oven was always fun.
  • Whenever I find a stopwatch I always try and start/stop it at the shortest time possible. Best ever was six milliseconds (00:00:06). Don't think I'll ever get near that again. What always sucked was when the stopwatch had a dodgy button and you couldn't press it twice quickly. Annoyed the shit out of me.
Hopefully I'm not alone on those last two :D
