1. ROK and Shaw won't be best 22 near the seasons end.
2. Rampe can have a good game but one mistake (high tackle in defensive 50) and I immediately want him subbed.
3. I now know how it felt for Hawthorn supporters watching Buddy in full flight all them years (suck it Hawks).

Buddy make me feel arroused

1. I rewatched the match and noticed two gentlemen of the game (JPK & Dangerfield) shaking hands before the first bounce. Reminds me of an incident 3 or 4 years back involving another not so respectable opposition player.
2. Buddy has a bizarre kick on him. At times it bends right then seems to straighten and bend left. His first goal is a classic example of it. (There was also one in the 2012 GF)
3. Eddie Betts is one of a seemingly endless list of disappointing Carlton players. Yeah I know, but he'll always be a Carlton player to me.

1. Don't book flights where you have to depart halfway through the third quarter.
2. Don't trust the stewards to get the score. In their favour, they did get the pilot to tune in to the radio and get a score for me. On the other hand, they told me the final score was 100-98, Swans lose. So i spent a whole F***** flight to Dubai thinking we'd gone down by two points!
3. Thinking we'd lost, then finding out we'd won, is F****** AWESOME!

I will have 3 more things once i get the chance to watch the replay. For now, i'm a ver, very happy little vegemite.

1. Buddy's effort at Adelaide Oval in an open forward line with a lot of quick players around him, will create even more havoc for opposition teams when Reid, Goodes & Tippett are fit & available.
2. Still need to get our disposal efficiency up & hit targets
3. Still need to lower the eyes when going forward & if you can't hit the target, at least put it to your team-mates advantage.

1. LRT was vital for a forward structure, but I think he'll get dropped when Reid/Tippett get back to full fitness
2. Give Derrickx some time - he's showing some good signs. Plus we can't have LRT as our 2nd ruck option
3. I like Cunningham in our forward line

1. Cunningham, Jetta and Rohan will scare teams If all in full flight by years end.

2. Nick Smith is gets the job done week in week out, Very reliable.

3. With Tippet and Reid coming back pretty soon we should be looking pretty good and make the Top 4 but hopefully we can bet Goodes back later in the year and really be peaking in the Finals with our full team in.

1. The forward structure was much better as was the overlap running & ball movement. Still a few too many skill errors and some easy goals leaked (could have been a little worse if Adelaide could hit the side of a barn) but a step in the right direction, need to get some momentum going now, build some confidence and string a couple of wins together.

2. We look so much better when we spread and have Mids pushing forward. We seem to be so much better suited to a mobile forward line - I know Pyke and Derickx were there at times, but were really the only "non-agile" players down there, so therefore we should be able to fit one (which should be Tippett if he returns - Reid and LRT count as fairly mobile). Last year we had too many ruck types in key positions and kept on playing as if we still did in the first 2 rounds this year. I just hope if Tippett does return, the forward entries don't regress back to the long bombing.

3. Buddy goals were good, but what was impressive were his kicks to the advantage of other players, set the tone in the regard. Can't wait for the day he kicks a big bag (although hopefully when it does happen it doesn't make everyone too Buddy conscious, ala what happened after Tippett started kicking bags last year). Hopefully at some point this year we actually do get to see Buddy, Reid and Tippett playing together.

1. LRT must be the best forward to play with. Compare his working the ball to the advantage of crumbers, putting a block on for Buddy and drawing out space for Buddy against Jesse White trying to spoil Tippet's marks.

2. Buddy could have had 6 or more. He was on fire. Rohan makes a great sub. Harry is getting better and better.

3. Great to see Jetta punching his x-factor card. He will get caught out at times but his unpredictability makes him a hard match up and a constant menace to opposition. He gets a lot more attention these days but is learning to deal with it well.

1. I knew this already however... Ticket allocation at Crows games is often illogical, biased and ridiculous with regards to opposition fans. They either spread you out amongst a sea of Crows colours in the hope the red&white doesn't show up too much on telly OR they allocate a bay for the opposition fans (who would usually be allocated a bay near the cheer squad) out of the way and again hope the red & white doesn't show up too much on the telly. They seem to want the opposition fans not seen or heard. In comparison, port games tend to give the standard allocation behind the goals at one end of the ground. Go figure, I suspect it was due to the "first Crows home game at AO" crap and wanting it to look like this amazing showing of Crows supporters. I got seated level 5, eastern grandstand, Row W, seat 12 which was literally the last row, right at the back up the top of the grandstand. I'm petty dirty about it... It reeks given they probably don't get the same treatment at rivals' grounds (MCG, SCG etc) far as I can tell.

2. We are 3 rounds in and our ultimate goal is to win a premiership. We need to slowly build our year and not freak out after 2 losses. This win was a good start to building our year and starting our season. Okay, we are 2 weeks behind were we wanted to be but it's a long season and it's more important we end it well as opposed to start it as well. I'm hoping come finals some of us can look back to these last few weeks and laugh at how silly some of us were sounding...

3. All we're hearing about is the Buddy show and it's something we're just going to have to get used to. However, he put in a great performance and deserves a bit of a talk up (particularly after the last 2 poor showings). I just kept thinking to myself "how good is this forward line going to be when there's Bud, Tip & Reidy all fit & firing together?!" Man I can't wait.

Listening to it on the radio, it was interesting to contrast how often LRT's name was called with his lack of stats. Just sounded like he was a presence at every contest, and then saw he barely had a disposal. Really highlighted his role, I think. Will be interested to watch the replay.

1. Derrickx looks pretty OK. I suspect he's holding the spot until Naismith and/or Nankers are strong enough, but he's not the worst option in the mean time.

Considering some of the hacks we've had before he's not too bad, gives a genuine contest and gets some taps. But does look weak around the contest and genuinely anywhere on the field.

1. If Shaw can't lift his game to the required standard, especially his field kicking, then he should be dropped and Rampe slots into his spot.
2. Richards has had a pretty bad last 10 or so games. I think he's suffering from not having AJ around to help as the 3rd man up or even LRT down back.
3. Our skills and decision making are horrendous at the moment. We should have won that game by more than 100 points if it wasn't for so many basic errors. Collingwood & GWS have already punished us for it.

Derickx might not have the skill of a Cox or brutishness of a Mumford, but he is quite acceptable in a number of areas. He's strong, athletic, mobile and able to get quick kick forwards. Out of packs, those quick clearances from a ruckman are pretty handy. He's also a willing and competitive tackler, there were a number of times on the weekend where I saw him hit the ground and throw himself directly into a tackle which impressed me. Showed a considerable amount of athleticism and willingness to be combative there.

He's definitely doing his job at the moment. And I cannot accept that we are better served by having LRT as our 2nd ruckman in place of Derickx. Perhaps, as Barney said above, he's filling in time before Naismith or Nankervis can take over, but I doubt that time is coming in 2014. 2015 and beyond perhaps, but this year Derickx could easily play a full year and be very competitive.

1) Thank goodness we played a team that can barely run out three quarters.
2) McVeigh was ordinary again.
3) Luke Parker is one player still on the rise; he needs support. As one other poster has already pointed out (I think), we're lucky we have Parker and Kennedy at the moment.

1. As we get players back and Buddy gets comfortable, we will be very hard to beat.
2. Soon Jett's and GRohan will be tearing teams apart consistently.
3. umpires. Got to the ground, missed first quarter. Saw middle quarters with umpires simply refusing to give Sydney anything. The run of frees was 10-1 or more. Simply disgraceful. KJack and Grundy actually had a go at the umps. At halftime, Grundy was ripping unto the bald cheat for a long time, very heated up. Once game wa gone, then the even- up started. Cheating Victorian frauds.

OK, had a chance to watch the game :)
1. The most exciting thing was seeing Jetta and Rohan getting their confidence up, and taking the game on. Cunningham could but needs to get more involved. If they keep playing that way, we're in for some pretty special moments. That was the 2012 Jetta back again. I've missed him.

2. Maybe Adelaide slowed down, but we seemed to find another gear in the 4th. Even if the crows were down, none of our guys looked spent. I think we'll start running out games now, and will give other teams problems in the late 3rd and 4th quarters.

3. Buddy was worth the money. He's so dangerous every time he goes near it. If he gets on a lead he'll mark and goal. If he gets a 1-on-1 he'll bring it to ground and is a good chance to get it back and create something. If he's worrying the other team he draws 2-3 defenders out of position and opens it up for everyone else. Buddy + Tippett will be giving other coaches nightmares.

1. When Buddy is actively trying to mark the footy he is the best player in the league as his confidence is up and the opposition panics as the bloke has no other short comings

2. I miss Buddy

3. I really miss Buddy

As much as it sickens me, I believe Hawthorn is the only team who could've handled the loss of a player like Franklin as well as they have.

The Hawks haven't missed a beat this year.

I do disagree, however, with anyone who suggests Hawthorn is better without Buddy. I think it's more a case of being smarter without him. It's similar to Sydney before Tippett, we were running in waves and creating multiple avenues to goal but then there's a big forward up there and he's all our players can see.

If the midfielders and halfbacks wise up a team definitely should be better with a player like Buddy, but as we know footballers are a pretty simple breed.

Anyway, that's my tangent. Thanks for posting and I wish you absolutely no luck for the rest of the year.

Yup, Kizza's mark on the 50, and his man and Talia peeled off to stop the handball to Buddy. Defender's poop themselves when Bud is within 60 meters of goal.

Three more things.

1. Cunningham has the attributes to be one of our best mids. He's got it all.

2. Our midfield depth, with the improvement of Parker and the additions of Rohan and Cunningham runs incredibly deep. If we can maintain a half decent forward and back line for the next 5-6 years we'll be a contender.

3. Jetta is still one of our most important players.
