I honestly don't see why we are chasing him, he's not a KPD in my eyes simply because he gets pushed around in contests way to easy. He's shorter than Schoey and weighs less as well.

Would prefer us to take a much cheaper option in Boumann who is a KPD.

Russell had a bad year in a good team lacking a KPF. I can see why they would trade him. If Gilles comes in we won't keep both Renouf and Lisle - one will have to go.

So we are picking up Gillies based on the fact that he is being groomed to slot into geelongs ageing defence. He is not a KPD and you would know if you have seen any of his game's. I'd much rather Schoe and Lisle but I'm still holding hopes we will snare Boumann.

Having never seen him play, what does he offer over Lisle? I would hope speed as Lisle obviously has height over him and one of the best contested marks at the club. From an outside perspective I would much rather we keep Lisle and play him in defense.

This is worse than the hype with Gunston, at least Adelaide supporters thought he was good.

If we are losing Renouf and Lisle I would expect the club to want a proven KPD.

I hope people realise that Gillies is a carbon copy of all the KPDs on our list. Would be more suited to playing as a 3rd tall, and can easily get pushed off the ball by bigger opponents.

I have no idea why we are so keen on him.
