VFL VFL 2020 Fixture (released - post 10)

Well I guess then that shows the Club does not think of there Fans when they asked what they Wanted

I see the fixture as one tailored for the AFL supporter who has a casual interest in our young players. They’re happy to see a quarter or half of seconds footy in the vicinity of the seniors, but wouldn’t travel the few kilometres (or much more for away games) that an avid VFL watcher would to passionately support a full game.

Ultimately the club can’t please everyone, but I think the balance is a little too much in favour of the AFL supporter with a passing interest. One more Victoria Park match would have helped right that balance even though I’d much prefer at least 5 or 6 games at our spiritual home.

Haven't seen a release from Collingwood, however the 'dogs have published their VFL practice match schedule. This includes a game against us on Friday 20 March. Unfortunately it's another 4.20pm Friday arvo match, which will lead into our senior match (vs WB) at Marvel.

Footscray Bulldogs will play three practice matches at home ahead of 2020 season proper.

The Bulldogs will then meet Collingwood a fortnight later on Friday 20 March at 4:30pm

Yep, Whitten Oval. It's only 5 stations from Marvel, so well placed for their traditional supporter base or fans in the west.
