There were some positives to take out of todays game.

Rounds was particularly impressive, great intensity and skills. scored a few goals and BOG for the pies.

Reed- I am impressed mostly by his confidence and efforts, i think he will be a very good utility player for us and definitely deserves a spot on our list.

Keefe- very good, i wouldnt mind seeing him given a go in the ruck and up forward. Could be a great player and i guess the best position to play is CHB if you want to learn and observe how the game is played.

Young- was impressed by young at times, did some very good things.

Thomas- needs some work but got some clean possessions, will be pushing for a spot in the 1's next year.

The rucks (wood fraser)-their ruck work was hard to judge because they were generally rucking against a smaller and experienced ruck from Nth ballarat (hale spent most of his time free in the forward/back lines)

Mcnamara- needs work and needs to work on his fitness

Blight- did some good things rebounding out of defence but had a tough job playing on edwards who kicked 7. went of injured in the last.

Corrie- burn at the stake

Barham- turn over merchant but tries hard, if only he could kick

Medhurst- a class above but still should dominate from start to finish, i wonder if he is still hampered by injury.

Pendelbury- stood up in the second half.

mccarthy played a limited game, tagging and on the ball. needs to find confidence in his hammies.

o'bree- pathetic

COllingwood

3- Rounds
2-Young
1- Reed

Caf was sure in his touches, but Round was more desperate and 3 nice goals - BOG.

I don't really know if I can come up with a 3rd best.

3. MaCaffer
2. Rounds
1. Fraser

I thought Fraser was clearly the best "bigman" we had all day, he contested well in the ruck and played well around the ground.
Rounds was the only dangerous forward we had all day, and is progressing beautifully.
MaCaffer was very good once moved onto the ball, should have started there or down back, where the play was.

Rounds look awesome. He could even come in next week if someone goes out.

J-Mac was instrumental in our come back in the second half.

Fraser was quiet. Wood has talent but their is something wrong upstairs.

I like Blight. Has a penetrating kick and maked good decisions. I see a very bright future, still needs a few more years in the gym though.

Thomas looks promising as does Sinclair.

Medhurst continues to show signs without producing. He kicked a couple of goals.

I was surprized by Keefe. Played a very good game.

O'Bree was average, behind Blair now too. May not play another game for Collingwood.

Rounds might come in for Lockyer next week if he plays an average game.

Rounds and Thomas were very good contributors and showed something beyond their years, but apart from that I would say we were outclassed.

The way we moved the ball in the first half was insipid. If Barry Hall was playing he would have gone ape. :D

Very happy with Rounds, but I've been driving that bandwagon for ages now. He has polish.

Keeffe looked surprisingly mobile today, in a way I hadn't seen before. Impressed.

Tom Young continues his good form, he's a real find.

Josh Thomas also looked very lively, I'm looking forward to seeing what he's capable of.

Rounds continues to look a AFL player , his 3rd quarter was magnifficent. Beautiful kick , I was right behind that goal from the flank.

I thought we got screwed by the umps and let it get to us in the last , which blew it out a bit. But it was a lot better second half , after a timid opening.
