POTY:

5. Reilly - had a real presence around the ground tonight, this is the Reilly we saw pre-ankle injury.

4. Knights - took some terrific marks and his disposal, while not brilliant, was a step up from last week

3. Porplyzia - All class. This kid could be an absolute star of the comp (hopefully gets over this rough goal kicking patch soon)

2. VB - tough, committed, classic VB and found a good deal of the footy

1. Gill - Tackling, chasing, marking and importantly goal kicking were all on the money tonight. Get on that Train people.

BTM

3. Massie - Courage to get up from that bump and get in the play.

2. Hudson - Carried the ruck with Meesen having limited game time. Just fights so hard for the ball.

1. Gill - his pressure and commitment are invaluable.

ROTY

2 - Knights
1 - Douglas - positive signs again

POTY

5. Reilly - The class player of the team today. When the game was nothing but a comedy of errors in the first half, he stood out like a beacon with his hard attack on the ball and his usage of it. Becoming a leader of the club.

4. Knights - the ball magnet was really switched on today both in the air and on the ground. Disposal was very good with a couple of obvious exceptions.

3. Porplyzia - One of the cleanest set of hands in the comp. Has lost a bit of confidence in his goal-shooting but that will return, because he is a bundle of skill. Classy.

2. van Berlo - Mark Bickley Mark II showed enormous courage and skill (apart from those 2 diabolical handballs at the centre bounces) beyond his tender years today. Captaincy material.

1. McLeod - Some dashing work from defence from Macca. Would have had him much higher but he burnt the ball a fair bit with at least 5 loose high kicks to nobody.

Best Team Man

3. Hudson - The big fella made his public apologies to Crows supporters with a lion hearted rucking effort characterised by his trade-mark clearances - 10 of them to be exact.

2. Knights - Apart from a top game in getting the footy, put his body on the line for both strong overhead marks and balls on the ground, ending up taking a hard one for his courage. Answered his knockers in the very best fashion.

1. Shirley - Absolutely epitomised what the Best Team Man award stands for with some steely tackles including that rib crusher that led to a holding the ball and a goal.

1 - Douglas - coming on very nicely. Looked at home with the tempo of the game today.

I think these next few games for Douglas are crucial for his future development.

Getting these games under his belt will allow him to get a little more experience up with the game, work on it over pre season, and then take the next step.

He's getting there.

5 - Reilly - our best in the middle and in particular his sceond quarter was fantastic. Great goal, excellent attack on the ball and some gut busting running.

4 Massie – beat their most dangerous player and did some very brave work.

3 – Hudson – thought was very good in the ruck and in the on the ground contests.

2 – Weslh – four goals plus some excellent forward line pressure.

1 – Knights – worked hard and his disposal was generally good. His kicking for goal though is a real worry and frustration.

Unlukcly – McLeod (though didn’t want to “contest” the footy all night), Porplyzia, Gill, Thompson.

You'd have to say this is going to be the area which defines whether he is a good player, or a great player...whether he can damage the opposition with those kicks from outside 50.
