one brilliant game at under 18s level doesnt equal what didak HAS achieved at AFL standard...... also didak still has his best ahead of him...
to swap didak for a young kid (as promising as he might appear) is an absoloute joke...

It shows that he can play, but does not necessarily mean that he will be a gun player.
I remember in the 80's I watched the Big V vs WA.
A guy by the name of Garry Shaw was BOG. Played a blinder as a rover.

When will you people understand that Didak isn’t a midfielder, just an elite half-forward! Collingwood can replace Didak with other capable Half-Forwards in Leon Davis, Dale Thomas, Brad Dick, and Paul Medhurts.

Having two first-round picks, and picking up (maybe) a Sidebottom and Blease will be a great result for this club. Imagine adding those two names with the likes of Wellingham, Clarke, Penedlebury, Thomas, Dyas, Swan, McCarthy, Barham, and Stanley…

A good young midfield on the rise

Alan Didak has great kicking skills and collects a lot of the ball; but has no stamina and creates no aggressive run from the midfield. He would be the perfect trade bait.

We all know we need mids, but to trade our best player for an unproven kid is ridiculous. There are plenty of players who star at TAC level but never make it in the AFL. Didak is the one player on our list with elite skills and proven match winning ability, he's not just a stock standard flanker.

in 1991 and 1992 we had a guy on our list called Stuart "Shorty" Anderson who was a freak at U/18 level. Tipped to take over from Tony Francis, but couldn't get into the side because of the Little Man or Scott Russell. He just faded away. So unbelievable at U/18 but barely strung anything together at AFL reserves level.

Still, Steele's got the greatest name, worth drafting him for that.
