Welcome to Tigerland Chris Knights

Welcome Knighta! Great to see the club again recruiting players that fill a need, and players who are around the mid-twenties age bracket as we were devoid of that age group in Hardwick's first season. Outstanding job so far!

Not that it's hugely relevant but does anyone know if Chris knights has an indigenous background ? Just thought he might.

Any friend of big Ivvie is a friend of ours...And like the big man, this is last chance saloon for Knighter...
He will be very keen to impress after a poor year, and he brings good knowledge from Craig and Sanderson...
But his best game this year was against us ): Maybe that was a job interview...? Great work Tiges...

It's good to have a Knighta back at the club! Hopefully he can tear up the midfield and forward line just like the Knighta of old (and put Essendon to the sword in more ways the one again;)).

Always liked the look of him, fits a hole very well for the club too as that lead up half forward with marking ability and goal nous, but can also push into the midfield.

Good work Tiges.

Was just interviewed on trade week radio. Said some pretty stock standard stuff;

- watched a lot of Richmond this year, lived with Ivan for 6 years. Ivan couldn't speak highly enough of the club
- Will be his first pre-season in 3 years and he feels really confident about his body. After having a good 2009, suffered a foot injury and only played a handful of games in 2010.
- Said his best position is high half forward and through the midfield. Said he'd play anywhere Dimma wants him to.
- A few clubs were interested in him, but he was only interested in Richmond.

Will he also appear come new season with a Mullet? It seems to be the key to being a gun from Adelaide after all.

Should be a good pickup if he stays injury free, believe there's been talk of us chasing him for a few seasons now?

what a ripping bloke! anyone questioning the recruitment of he and also Chaplin should be disregarded for the simple fact of the growing culture Richmond are fostering, just like how the foundations were set at Sydney.

It is clear Knights has been underdone since his stellar 2009 year, however, is about to experience his first pre season in 3 years (Y)
Filling a positional need for the club as a Goalkicking HFF which adds to our midfield rotations (not just specialist forward pocket, awesome) Knights' biggest asset for the club, once again like Chaplin is the fact they fill a major shortage of 24-28 year old players which are THE MOST IMPORTANT for any finals side bringing experience and hardened bodies.

Excellent recruitment along with Chaplin who will also do wonders for our structures and young Key Backs all for the expense of only wages in a salary cap that is yet to be at maximal capacity. No draft picks involved, no short cuts, this is the future.

Sorry i should explain i have been an Adelaide and Richmond member for 14 years although im dropping the crows one next year and following Richmond

First step is removing Adelaide fom your supported team and replacing it with Richmond :p

Good luck to him! Seriously hope he can turn his career around. Injuries have been very cruel to him since 2009. :(

His 2009 season was incredibly good. Unfortunately, the above mentioned injuries have stopped him from replicating that form again. Him getting back to that level is probably not all that likely, but hey, when you're getting him for nothing, it's certainly worth a shot.
is it right he had a relatively free injury run in the sanfl this year with reasonably good for?

Sorry to butt in, but I reckon you may have found a beauty here

He will be very good for you guys, and your list seems to steadily be making good progress

Top 8 and above for you guys !!

Thanks mate and don't wory about Goddard .With the 800k you can pick up two long term quality kids.
Same Old Bummers and Blues-Always cheating!

Very happy that Knighter has joined Richmond.Congrats mate and welcome to Tigerland!
