Where were you 50 years ago when man landed on the moon?

I was in the CBD at Brash’s watching the moon landing with hundreds of other folk on black and white TV’s. You could cut the atmosphere with hot butter. I was standing on a milk grate when an elderly lady tapped me on the shoulder and motioned for me to step down.
I proceeded to spit at her feet and started thrusting my hips to “Here Comes the Sun”. She soon got it. God bless her sole.

When Lance Armstrong descended the ladder from his rocket, there was a dry eye in the house. There were high-fives galore and the elderly lady behind me was boiling her eyes out. We shared a tear and ended up going back to The Hotel Spencer for a few sherbets and a chicken parma. I had a few Split the Bill tokens and so got my meal for half price. I’ll never forget it.

My mum was about to discover she was pregnant and probably throwing up at this point. Eight months later I was born. I doubt very much I was planned, seeing as she already had 4 kids between 1957-63 and then 7 years later I showed up, but I do know my sister (born 18 months later) was specifically bred to keep me company...we've been angsty ever since...!

I was a 15 month old bouncing back and forth in a bassinet in front of the B&W tv while mum did the ironing behind me, replete with Alpine cigarette dangling from her mouth.
This, including mum smoking an Alpine, the durrie of choice for the ladies of that era. However, I was only about eight months old and was probably boiling my eyes out.

That sounds a little similar to my mother's family, she has three older siblings who were born in 1924, 1927 and 1932, then my mother appeared in 1946 and her younger brother in 1949. We jokingly call her a mistake, and she retorts with "you wouldn't be here is it wasn't for that mistake".:)
