Wow that one really hurts... you come up with that yourself? Can someone give me the average grand final attendance for those Carlton have played in for this century?
I'm sure neither result will have an impact on our season2024.
Talking of streaks, I notice there is another team with looking to continue an interesting streak at Adelaide Oval.
Carlton at the Adelaide Oval:
7 games
0 wins
7 losses
Average losing margin - 63 points
Will they be 'Owen 8' at the Adelaide Oval after this weekend, or will they be 'Juan and 7' (and even get their average Adelaide Oval margin under negative 10 goals)?
A very interesting statistic.
I'm sure neither result will have an impact on our season

They're even starting to use the term 'dead rubber'.Yep Blues already have a top 2 spot wrapped up with their 3 wins [emoji38] [emoji1787] [emoji23]

So he posts a table clearly showing Curnow has kicked the most goals from free kicks, in an attempt to prove Charlie doesn't kick the most goals from free kicks.Hmmmmmmmmmmm.... I could have sworn I've heard for the last couple of years that Charlie only kicks goals from free kicks and that he's awarded more soft free's than anyone ever in the history of ever???

They're actually in pretty much the same position they've been in the last 2 years ie 3 wins before their first loss, couldn't even make finals in one of those years [emoji38]They're even starting to use the term 'dead rubber'.
Oh well, I guess they're accustomed to their season being in the bin by this stage of the year.
'Old habits die hard'.
Your brain not turned on today Fudgey? So he posts a table clearly showing Curnow has kicked the most goals from free kicks, in an attempt to prove Charlie doesn't kick the most goals from free kicks.
Oh my.
Any proper mathematician would know what is more useful: percentages or raw numbersSo he posts a table clearly showing Curnow has kicked the most goals from free kicks, in an attempt to prove Charlie doesn't kick the most goals from free kicks.

My brain is always turned on.Your brain not turned on today Fudgey?
Indeed.Any proper mathematician would know what is more useful: percentages or raw numbers
Some mathematician...My brain is always turned on.
If I was trying to prove a point, I certainly wouldn't be sharing a table that shows exactly the point that I'm arguing against...
You honestly don't understand that by posting the data you did, would be the same as me finding the 'squibbiest' video of Nick Daicos I could, posting that in the Daicos thread, and saying 'See, I told you Daicos wasn't a squib'!Some mathematician...

Ok so the player that kicks 100 goals and has 20 from free kicks is more looked after than the player that has kicked 20 goals and has 18 from free kicks. You know full well given a sample size like we have % trumps raw numbersIndeed.
Because a player who has:
1 goal in total, and that goal came from a free kick
Is much more looked after by the umpires than a player who has:
100 goals, 70 of which have come from free kicks.
Percentages....
Apparently they have the best interstate record over the last 2-3 yearSome mathematician...

That abacus really does come up with some bizarre resultsYou honestly don't understand that by posting the data you did, would be the same as me finding the 'squibbiest' video of Nick Daicos I could, posting that in the Daicos thread, and saying 'See, I told you Daicos wasn't a squib'!
Nah, just not concerned with either result in the scheme of our season, we ain't Juan and 3Yep Blues already have a top 2 spot wrapped up with their 3 wins [emoji38] [emoji1787] [emoji23]

Well, Nicki is a squib, so it would be accurateYou honestly don't understand that by posting the data you did, would be the same as me finding the 'squibbiest' video of Nick Daicos I could, posting that in the Daicos thread, and saying 'See, I told you Daicos wasn't a squib'!
Cool so you'd be comfortable with a 75 point loss then [emoji38]Nah, just not concerned with either result in the scheme of our season, we ain't Juan and 3
Well if Carlton are true to form given their record at Adelaide Oval, we can bank on a 63 point loss.Cool so you'd be comfortable with a 75 point loss then [emoji38]
What a ridiculous post/attitude
When did I say this? I have seen no evidence of preferential treatment - there was even a compilation put together of every free he receuved in 2023 and 95% were just blatant. You can't honestly sit there and conclude Charlie doesn't get a fair go from the umpires compared to the other key forwards going around...
Yeah there's that too, the ground record... surely you'd want to pop your cherry at the ground?Well if Carlton are true to form given their record at Adelaide Oval, we can bank on a 63 point loss.
But I'm sure 'this time will be different...'
95% were blatant, but they're just not regularly paid to other key forwards. When did I say this? I have seen no evidence of preferential treatment - there was even a compilation put together of every free he receuved in 2023 and 95% were just blatant.
