Continued in Part 5:

In terms of abuse of police powers Victoria is leading the country towards totalitarianism. The declared 'State of Emergency', which gives Daniel Andrews the right to to restrict individual freedoms, suspend constitutional norms and bypass normal parliamentary scrutiny has been in place since 16 March 2020 and recently extended to 16 Dec 2021. Police have been used to violently enforce these emergency powers and suppress legitimate protest.

Queensland and WA have imposed state border restrictions that mean Australia is not one country any more.

The Federal govt have prohibited international travel for its citizens since March 2020.
If you told me all this would happen in Jan 2020 because of a new virus, I would be thinking the death rate would be a hell of alot higher than 1% and would impact a much larger portion of the population.

Absolutely.

Make sure it's checked (diptheria & influenza shots).

His parents need to speak to the specialists about having adrenaline & oxygen on hand.
Depends on severity; most just need steroids (dexamethasone/ prednisone) and I’m not personally aware of any croup kids whose parents keep adrenaline at home for nebuliser (maybe in rural areas)

is it more dangerous when older or more common in young? my nephew is 2
More when young; have seen adult croup but it is rare. More dangerous when young (the narrower airway is more prone to completely obstruct)

I believe it's more common in younger kids and highly uncommon when older.

I would think it's more dangerous when younger as an older kid can tell their parents how bad they're feeling etc.

Apparently he almost died when he was about 12 months old as he stopped breathing in his sleep when he had croup. His sister's crying woke his parents. (I'm the step dad)

My nephew has a really tight airway. His heart is small I think. Tend not to ask too many questions because it might make my sister upset. He goes hospital randomly at night at times because he struggles to breathe usually when hes got croup

Played with my cousins toys one day 12 hours later in ER. Pretty scary.

Geeze that's horrifying. Poor kid.

Do you think surgery would be able to open or loosen his airways?

Also, even if he has a small heart, its still way bigger than most of the players on AFL field.

In any case I hope he somehow overcomes croup.

Why do you persist with such an idiotic straw man?

can you answer the question as to what is different in Victoria from Queensland, western australia and south Australia?
Incompetent leadership, poor contract tracing, and an inability to manage hotel quarantine.

And here we are living a life like it’s 2019 to the envy of the rest of the world
We’re you forced to cover your face in 2019? unable To go to big events? Unable to travel across borders? Forced to spend random periods locked in your house and expected to do a full days work whilst simultaneously looking after your kids?

As close as possible obviously considering what other countries are going through and there’s a one in a hundred year pandemic.

Population density?

I think thats the plan. He has a few other issues too tbh. Has battled for close to 3 years tbf. Little warrior.

exactly. But the Victorian left (or even the Victorian middle going by polls) don’t believe this to be true so I’m assuming they must have another reason?
Some people think Dan's a hero for formulating a strategy that prevented us from ending up like the US or Europe, and that unnecessarily forcing people to wear masks is good policy.

Many people have been enjoying work from home, getting paid to do nothing, and having a more laid back life in general.

People who enjoy the lifestyle and scared people are those who generally think the Andrews government is great.

More rubbish from Lars. Do you mean the strategy that most of Europe virtually copied eventually? People who like more freedom like what the National cabinet recommended and the states followed.

Population density?
That is relative to other country comparison. Not a relative to 2019 comparison. We are indeed better than most other countries. But in no way is this like 2019.

brisbane, Gold Coast and perth all have population density. People live in sky rises all next to each other just like in Melbourne. Plus if it was population density then suburbs and rural areas would be exempt. There is no population density there.

I much prefer the strategy of getting HQ and contact tracing right, then allowing the populous to go mask free when there's no community transmission.

You were banging on about opening up before the second Vic wave. Your strategy would have seen us same as Europe second wave.

You're too stupid to evaluate the base data, much less predict outcomes.
