The only Bomber that could be potentially be traded is Lovett, and he has a bit of baggage which will hurt his trade value, which was already a lot less than a lot of my fellow Essendon supporters think it is.

You cannot trade Rookie listed players.
Even if they could, why would they pass up the best chance out of every club to pick up the best player, A big difference between pick 1-5 when considering Naitanui/Rich/Watts are avalable, then you are left with Ziebell, Hartlett, Vickery

Richmond wont trade a bloke whos one of their top 6 players and is captaincy material and has never raised a wave wuith his off-field behaviour for a bloke who has off-field problems. You will have a snowballs chance in hell at getting Newman, they really rate the bloke

Stanton/Dyson? Freo would rather keep their first rounder and take a Western Australian ,Rather taking a honest outside midfielder in Stanton(who is not worth pick 3) and Dyson who's in danger of being de-listed, why does he have any currancy?

Mcphee for Staker? West coast are looking to rebuild, if Staker goes they will pick up draft picks, not a 26 year old rebound defender who will be 30 when they plan at another tilt at a premiership

Hooker for Swallow? only trade which has merit, but you would have to give the roo's a third rounder

Geelong would rather Keep Atkinson, They wouldnt trade great depth players for average picks, Geelong will have trouble finding 3 people to delist, in reality its a bloke who;s nearly cracking their 22 for a bloke who wont...and a draft pick, they'll stick with Prismall

Keps is good value. Not many 200cm 100kg guys who can run all day and have good skills. He's no good in the backline, but that still leaves him with 2/3rds of the ground to work with. Very handy in front of goal.

Richmond have no interest in Lovett. Alos Newman is part of Richmonds leadership group and in our top 6 players. Richmond have no interest in trading away Newman unless if it is an offer that is way over Newmans market value. Richmond won't be making a trade for a player that won't fill a need or have much interest in just for the hell of it.

Essendon would have to give up something like their first round pick and Lovett for Richmonds second round pick and Newman to get Richmonds interest. There is no way Essendon will be doing that.
