Thinking out loud - should there be a bonus point score in T20s?

Say 160. If a team gets 160 (batting first or second) they get an extra point

So if a team gets knocked over for 73 the chasing team needs to make 74 to win the game and 160 to get a bonus point.

Means these for tv games go the distance
Favours sides that play their home matches on smaller grounds with roads. Pass.

Don’t mind the bonus point but just as the regular chase the total down in x overs.
/bowl the second side out for x.

That hasn't added any interest to the domestic one dayers for mine. Also doesn't prevent the problem of games finishing early in cases like this one

There’s not much interest in the domestic one dayers full stop.

What’s the problem with games finishing early? They’re over when they’re over. Not worth contriving extra time in the matches.

Yeah possibly my suggested 'cure' would be worse than the disease

Not many games like this after all thankfully

That obstruction decision yesterday was terrible

Nothing else to talk about I guess.

Lesson 1, dont touch the ball unless you ask the fielders.
Lesson 2, the umpire has to apply the law, the fielding side didn't have to appeal. But within their rights to do so.
Lesson 3, its the batters stupidity (again) which caused this situation.
