Yep - all of the Olympics Redevelopments are up in the air so I’m told
Wow really surprised. Thought it might have been the money going into the alternatives which is a consequence of the redevelopment of course. Watch this space.

Dwarshuis with 4. He's one of those eternal BBL names who'll never play for Australia but has his fair share of days out in the sun in front of a good crowd.

Pretty sure he played in the recent tour of India (just after the World Cup)

The smartest team won - in both facets - they adapted to the conditions better

Dwarshius has already played for Australia, and with his 5 wickets tonight now sits 4th all time for wickets in the BBL. Should be more highly rated by some the less knowledgable on this forum.

Don't follow white ball cricket outside the World Cups so happy to stand corrected.
Ponting has always spoken well of him over the years.

Sixers peaking at the right time by not having an over reliance on International players (compared to Brisbane and Perth)?
TBF, Sydney have Vince and Curran compared to Crawley and Evans. I won't include Eskers.

The big difference is Scorchers have lost Richardson and Turner to injuries. I think Kelly might be injured as well.

Like the Heat, you can normally replace 1 or 2 players, but 4 makes it really tough.

The only Sixer in the top 10 for runs this BBL season is Vince at #9 with 244 @ 30.5, and before last night they didn't have a wickettaker in the top 10, yet somehow they are the first team into the BBL final. They may not be a team of superstars, but they do the three facets of the game extremely well, they have great depth and no obvious weak links.

They are Captained exceptionally well - for the cricket purist - last night was as good a Captain’s game as you ever want to see - he read the game brilliantly with the bat then pulled the right levers to get them over the line with the ball on what was an ordinary pitch
