Hi all ... long time reader of this forum .. rarely post but .. I’m currently at Sydney airport and just saw Hannebery chatting with Andrew Ireland before running to make the final call of a flight to the Gold Coast .. just going up for a holiday or something more?
Make sense to me .. would get more out of GC as Stewie knows his worth (when fit) .. could help us with the Langdon trade or something else ..
Thoughts?
Be surprising. He's nominated St Kilda as the only team he wants to be traded to so unlikey he's playing the field or he wouldn't have made that announcement.

******* oath I would take Bennell

Would get him for **** all
I would only be willing to take him if he was willing to pee in a cup every week. IMO he wouldn't agree to that because he would have something to hide.

Makes a lot of sense to first try restructure the team to allow players to play in their natural position, rather than simply bringing in replacements. We do have a lot of talent on our list.

I certainly see a lot of scope for improvement and would be happy with:

- Langdon and Duryea moving down back
- Mills, Jones, Clarke and possibly Vandenberg added to the midfield depth
- Sinclair up forward (with Naismith back as no.1 ruck)

Anyone see that foxsports Laughton guy reckons swans need to get a 1st rounder back to be in play for langdon....surely one of the picks in the 20s is fair- Am i crazy but this just seems fair value for out of contract player....
I'd like to pick him up in the PSD to really piss Eddie off.

Yep, I lik what the club is doing with these moves.

I went through the best 22 and this seems fairly balanced approach.

Saints are staring down the barrel at a very uneventful trade period after a very poor season. We should be bending them over that barrel given it’s them who want our player. Bet we will go quietly though
Yep, we need to hold hannaberry to his contract, unless we get suitable terms. This is as much about appeasing their member as it is trading in talent.

Langdon and Duryea moving down back

If we get Langdon will we still go after Duryea?

What would our defence be next year:

B: N. Smith L. Melican D. Rampe
HB: T. Langdon A. Aliir J. Lloyd

J. McVeigh (On the Pine)

Really hoping Ryan Clarke could be the next Josh Kennedy type of move we make (As in getting an unwanted player who becomes a star)!

Last year, in a role where he was used down back mostly, he managed 20 or more disposals in 10 games - Averaging 20 for the season.
Considering he's 21-years old, really shows there is serious potential! 20 touches a game at that age really shows you've got something.

Hopefully the Swans can use him to the best of his ability and have him become an even better player. He's played 40 games, so enough experience to really start taking it up to the next level.

Great signing by the club!

I mean I think lions go ok but to each their own
They just sit in the sun licking their balls most of the day. Not that there's anything wrong with that, they seem to have a pretty cool life

I think the Duryea deal is going cold. The Bulldogs are after him. I'll take Langdon thanks very much.

I also like how there was a "you must use X first round picks in X years" and then Geelong and Hawks went yeahhhh nah not going to do that - we will seek "AFL exemption from having to do this" it was granted and the rule became moot.
Bloody ridiculous!!!

feel like we might be getting taken for a ride by the Langdon thing. Feels like a manager trying to leverage a better deal from his existing club.
