It's really a no brainer. Played 261 games over 18 years and coached 714 games over an extraordinary 38 years and 8 premierships. No-one else comes close.

It's a disgrace their isn't already a statue for the great McHale.

On a serious note, the MCC has a criteria that statues recognize individuals withe extraordinary feats at the MCG.

So that pretty much rules out most of your list.

If that's the case, Richo has to be a leading contender, more goals than any other player on the ground in history.

If selecting a coach, McHale would have to be the leader.
