OMG if Scott puts Jack back on the ball after recruiting Tyson and refusing to play Ahern, I'm done until he goes. That would be a job saving move on his behalf.

HE IS BEREFT OF IDEAS, IT SHOWS.

Yep. I’m in this boat big time and I’m a die hard. That’s a selfish job saving move if ever there was one.

What I learnt today is that Tyson is a shit truck of a footballer.

Throw in Pittard and Campbell.

Add a bit of LMac.

With a drizzle of extra virgin Scott game plan.

Now you have a giant sized Turd Casserole.

Liked the post, actually made me laugh which is no mean feat after watching another debacle.

But can’t agree with the Pittard commment. I actually thought he was ok today. Campbell was meh, but his output was a lot more than Wood. I still think Larkey needs to be played, but not going to happen while Brad is trying to save his job.

Our forward line is impotent. Our midfield won't defend. Our backs can't hit a barn.
This is a bad combo. With all five of our seasoned recruits playing and a couple doing well, we've regressed dramatically.
Ahern and Larkey must be bemused.

Tyson is so vanilla. I just don’t get where he fits in the list profile.

Like most on here...... Where the **** is Ahern?????

Pittard is okay, he is a better defender than any of our medium sized defenders and he is somewhat reliable with short-range kicking and he will go and put his body on the line when it is his turn to go. There is just no point bringing him to the club if you are not going to get rid of our existing mediums that can't defend.

Brad doesn’t develop sides. Unfortunately we will be putting up with him trying to eek out a win here at the expense of development to try and save his skin.

As a coach he is a leech. He sucks the life out a playing list.

GOOD
Defence stood up well - apart from “Kerridge cameo” in the third quarter.

LDU, Hall, Cunnington & Polec

MEH
Higgins, BBB getting there but why so late?

BAD
We didn’t put Lions away when we had the chance.

UGLY
Jy
Midfield
Handball under pressure laughable

Are you referring to one of our leaders that plays down back? Because you are 100% spot on.

It was disgusting watching a supposed leader squib contests when the game was on the line.

I hope someone snaps the soft campaigners finger off next time he goes to point.

Disgraceful example to the young players in the club.

Ziebell has never been coached well enough to be an inside midfielder, we know that because our club did nothing year after year when he hacked the ball out of stoppages. If he was coached better I am sure he could have been a decent inside mid, but that horse has bolted.

Where the **** was plan B when they were walking it out of clearances? Lots of Cunnington/Tyson/Higgo. Why not throw Turner in there? Tell him to stay up Neale or Zorko's arse. That was on Scott.

Why did we seem unprepared for them moving through the middle? If the player's were unfit, why pick them?

Joke of a loss. First time Ive reached the end of my tether with Scott.

And McDonald can wipe that ****ing grin off his face.

There was a stoppage on the far side when kicking to the right (TV). JZ gathers the ball going foward, had LDU running next to him open. ALl he has to do his pop up the hand ball and LDU can drive us deep inside F50. But JZ hacks it forward out of bounds. It was just so typical of him.

If Simo wasn't a captains A hole I hate to think what JZ is.

Apart from everything that has been said (most of which I agree with), I think one point that hasn't been touched on is:

HOW SOFT WERE WE IN MARKING CONTESTS TODAY?

It's like there's a new rule that only we're playing too where we can't make any body contact (including knees & hips). From Brown to McKay, it's all hands. There aren't even any arms involved. Even Jack has forgotten the art of sticking a knee straight in the back of a loose defender that drops in the hole in front of him.

And we can include Goldy in this too. I know it was a mediocre umpire bounce, but after Campbell's goal in the last qtr brought us back within a goal, he just had to attack the ball and make body contact with Martin at the next centre bounce.

I'm unsure how much of that is on the coach or the players?

Defenders (JMac FFS) guarding grass while attackers take an uncontested mark & have a shot at goal are on the coach(es) though.

Gee, can't wait to see JZ back in the midfield getting the ball & slamming it on his boot willy-nilly directly to the opposition.
I was still non committal on the sack scott talk until he said he preferred jz in the middle. Im sure he has to go now. Shifting deck chairs on the titanic. Why would you recruit tyson if you genuinely believed this?

What's there to say?
Improvement on last week.
Everyone did their role.
Everyone had good and bad moments.
Decent game of football
Skills a bit rusty, common in the early round's.
Had TT debut and kick his first goal.
Nobody was trash .

Campbell was a good inclusion.
Obviously lacking a forward presenting up the ground to make a contest and leaving BBB in the F50.

Good structural change.

McKay looked more settled in defence. Almost kicked a goal.

Having polec instead of Gibbo/Clarke is a definite upgrade.

If your expectations were not taken down a notch or two after last week, then you're a dreamer.

As we have come to know, a Brad Scott season quickly turns from hopelessness to pleasantly satisfying.

I don't think Macmillan is a good defender and he is a liability while we don't have a defensive 50 that can carry a weak defender who otherwise provides a lot of run and rebound out of the backline.

I am not up for wishing a player to be harmed though or disrespecting them like that, it isn't their fault they haven't been given the tools to be better than they are and haven't been held to a higher standard, that is on the coaches and the club in general. It is not like his bad defending is something that has miraculously arisen this year, he has been a shithouse defender for all of his 141 games, he is going to accumulate 200+ games and he is horrible in his position, that isn't on him, you shouldn't get to 20 games as a defender if you can't defend, that is on the club.

I actually feel bad for him because he has a lot of traits that would otherwise make for a good footballer, he has just been let down by us as a club having standards that are far too low.

Well if you think Brad is dumb, the suns are showing their starting matchups on the broadcast and going over their matchup gameplan on the live telecast.
Brad doesn’t know his starting matchups nor his game plan. In fact I fully expect Siri to hold the presser after our next game such is his love of technology.

Yeah, I got frustrated at that exact passage as well. It was such an easy handball if he had a modicum of composure, and LDU would have been running through 50 probably on goal. He's not a mid.

I personally wasn’t a massive believer when he arrived, but his first two games have been very very good. People often have grievances about error laden footballers, especially those brought in from other clubs. The same negativity circulated around Marley when he started with us.

I was really impressed with him and I think you’re underselling his performance today.
