May getting subbed will hurt but the Dees should be in front by more 3.6 šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Porkins having a holiday?
Nah.
Accidental
Porkins responsible for both oppo broken leg and now eye socket...
Geelong and elbows to heads. Name a more iconic duo.
How many "accidental" elbows is it going to take before they realise they're not so accidental??

If this is not an example of when careless can be used, then they need to remove it along with intentional from their grading system.

When you have relative success as a coach, you tend to stick to the same game plan.
It's human nature, you don't tamper with it too much.
Goodwin will by and large stick with the game plan.
The Cats staged a comeback of sorts but were denied, would be a concern for them.

AFL definitely trying to outlaw the bump
Cunnington copped a week for this Laird played out the game, no injury or contact to the head

Have watched a couple of the Melbourne games, saw the St Kilda game.
They use Langdon as the runner from the half-back flank.
He delivers to Oliver on the wing.
Then to Petracca on the half-forward flank.
They did exactly same against the Cats.
They were the top three for disposals.
Which of their mids do we need to target?

Trying to recall the last time a player copped a severe head/facial injury in a collision with a Richmond player. Kyron Hayden from North who got cleaned up running back with the flight of the ball by Lynch who was trying to contest a mark. That is about the only one I can recall in recent memory.

Cats players have KOā€™d 3 players in their last 5 matches with shocking head/facial injuries, Vlastuin, Kelly and now May. All of these were described as ā€œaccidents.ā€ The Vlastuin and May elbows to the face contesting ground balls are clear reportable incidents in my opinion. Your forearm just should not be cocked like that. It is wrong technique. The forearm or elbow was cocked rigid and driven into the opponents face. Who can say what Dangerfield or Hawkins actual intent was, you would hope it wasnā€™t to injure. But the technique is at the very least careless, and possibly reckless. This should be penalised by the AFL to make players to correct their actions in these scenarios.

In the Dangerfield/Kelly head clash incident for which Dangerfield correctly got weeks, it should have been explained clearly that when bumping you need to lead with the hip and shoulder, as we were taught years ago. Not the head and shoulder as Dangerfield did. That is a tackling technique, not a bumping technique. Dangerfieldā€™s hip was about 18 inches from Kellyā€™s body as his head was making contact. That is a horrendous bumping technique.

I find it laughable these stray forearms are being waved through by the MRO, especially in this current environment.

Letā€™s keep a count on the Cats, there seems to be a pattern forming here. On top of that we see Rohan hooking Neale from behind in a different sort of incident but equally dangerous and unsound action.

That is a lot for one team in 5 matches.

If I was Cunnington I would be challenging that piss weak bump what a game we have now may as well play netball with stand rules and other sh*t rules the AFL and clubs are going to lose a lot of members within 10 years maybe less
cunnington deserves a fine at worst....like a $2 gold coin donation to a charity.

That one is a free kick down the field for late contact, and should be left at that. Why are players inflicting shocking head/facial injuries being waved through and this attracts a week? The plot has been lost.

Christian has had enough. Feed him to the lions and get someone with a brain in there.

It all started back with GAJ a few years ago, apparently his forearm 'bumper' was acceptable for him to protect himself, yet Soldo and Dusty get a week because they were incidents off the ball.

Always funny how often Geelong goes straight to the tribunal to challenge, they're so hard done by

yes hawk gets off ... most possibly a well disguised and deliberate clip, but being off balance and in tackle makes it too hard to prove....he has massive form in this area and often injures players. soldo misses a year of footy coz of hawks accidental/intentional  shoving.
