The Lachie Neale back to the Dockers story has me wondering how many notable players have left club A gone to club B and then went back to club A.

The big 2 I can think of are >

Eddie Betts- Blues > Crows > Blues.
Gary Ablett Jnr- Cats > Suns > Cats.

Both those turned out OK, what are some others and how did they perform on their return?

The most successful return?
The biggest disaster return?

Dayne Beams?

Adam McPhee
Peter Bell

Off the top of my head Fremantle examples both ways include:
Tarrant - Coll > Freo > Coll
Croad - Haw > Freo > Haw
Bell - Freo > North > Freo
Wira - Freo > WBD > Freo
Black - Freo > Stk > Freo
Carr - Port > Freo > Port

Beams was one from Collingwood > Brissy and back.

Zac Smith suns, cats, suns.
How he managed to play over 100 games is the most shocking thing.

Josh Carr, Trent Croad, Chris Tarrant...

Carl Ditterich
True!

Unusual story though in that he was a Saints man first I think? Then kind of went on a switcheroo career later back and forth.

I think what I really want to say is thanks for providing an example but it strangely just makes me sad
