Why does the afl feel the need to tweak the game yearly? The stand rule is horrendous and has zero impact on scoring… holding the ball? Really

Even if there wasnt a huge effect on scoring, the stand rule clearly had a positive effect on the aesthetic of the game last year. You would have to be literally blind to not see it.
