Politically, they're obviously f'd. But it's the fourth largest country in the world, it's not like you're avoiding bullets on every street corner in every city on the way to school. A lot of the violence and social problems are kinda "out of sight, out of mind" because like everywhere they're mostly in the s**t areas.

Plenty of especially messed up parts of it obviously- religious weirdos, racist rednecks in the south, etc.
But also, lots of really beautiful places full of beautiful people.

It's just ridiculous logic. Knife crime will go up if they ban guns, you can see evidence of that everywhere with sensible gun laws but it's not a reason to not have stronger gun control.

Guns are more lethal to children in the US than cars!!!!

And the US has a much worse crash rate than Australia.

You're right, that it's very unlikely, but it's still the leading cause of death for children in the US which is just insane.

A tiny part of me can understand having say a hand gun in your house over there but to have bloody machine guns and stuff theres no need to sell those.
