Norf might be looking at Ollie Henry very seriously. Would rather we do business with them than Geelong. Could we target their number one pick, then split that pick again in a mega trade?

The hypotheticals here are just too good.

We won't get Pick 1 but get there 2nd Rounder for him

It may speak to concerns over the severity of Adams' injury, in which case their recruitment is understandable.
Totally and right now the expectation is he’s not into full training until post Xmas I believe, but what happens when all three plus Macrae and Carmichael are fit? Two can play at senior level max. For me Hopper makes sense because he’s a long term solution to that Adams dilemma and one that you just back in if a hard decision is needed. I think the end solution is Mitchell in the guts and Adams in a similar role to Graham which is akin to Grundy and Gawn in the same 22… That’s a bad outcome for all involved except Mitchell, IMO.

Given the rumours also are his contract was front ended he maybe on less then the 950k, and also has reportedly said he'll take a haircut his contract may start looking more reasonable too.
You're going to be pissed off. Rumours are, we were prepared to pay $300,000 of his contract. I daresay at that rate, we'd get his full whack in trade. If we pay a lower amount, we'll get less than the full whack in trade and we will probably be very happy with the deal. But clearly you won't be.

Does anybody else think it’s crazy we aren’t/didn’t pursue Hopper more aggressively? He’s pretty much exactly what we need in the midfield at the moment and a much better fit for us than Mitchell (albeit more expensive). He was brilliant in GWS’s grand final year and again in 2021. He’s a clearance beast when he’s on, bursts from stoppages and is really tidy by hand and foot. He actually offers a different dynamic to Adams such that they could easily both play in the same team; not sure the same could be said of Adams and Mitchell.
From a pure statistics basis this year, Fiorini outperforms Hopper on just about every metric. Same age. Fiorini has had no significant injury history, unlike Hopper. Why would we go for him?
