I think other teams will try to use a forward for front half stoppages, because it's such a structural weapon for the Cats. Really helps to set up a wall. Not sure if it'll work as well though. Hawkins is an exception. He's the most dangerous forward half ruck in the league - just pushes most rucks around.

Pushes everyone around - two hands in the back constantly - and mostly in full view of the umpires . . .

Easier to cover/train a half backer than it is to cover a ruck. We didn't move on Grundy due to a glut of ruckman, we moved him on to free up cash.
Grab a ruck, should be a no brainer.
