The arrogance of Carlton dismissing GWS and Geelong... they are 2 sides with the tall defenders and tall forwards to trouble Carlton
It’s not so much arrogance as it is reminding (rubbing it in) to Collingwood supporters who believe their drivel that Carlton aren’t a top 8 side..

Of course GWS and Geelong are strong sides.. The best side we’ve played of late I truly believe is Melbourne ( their defence & midfield is A+ on their day) and we edged them twice in 6 games between about R21 and SF so I am confident if we play at our best at the right time we are a premiership threat..

Collingwood? Pfft, Charlie has em on toast..

It keeps him in the game and gets that spud Pittonet out of the side, win/win in my book [emoji2]

Very harsh on Pitt. Without his role on Gawn we lose our last two games against Melbourne. Isn't athletically gifted or a great mover but his physicality and work in the ruck is still important. Solid depth for us

I'll start by saying (imo) Cox is an under rated but very important player for Collingwood. At worst he halves the CBB and is (often good for at least a goal a game with his forward marking ability - even the best defenders find the 7' height and reach a challenge. The one two ruck combo with Cameron has worked a treat.

Some good stuff here. Admire Fadge for fighting a very good fight. Think Blues will prob do better, but end of the day they have better cream and depth due to being down for a long time. Pies the compete opposite. Unlucky not have got that one against WC, but I guess you could say Bris were unlucky last year. Pies could get back mojo and would be hard to beat if they can sneak into top 6, ideally top 4, and have a fully fit list. Depth suspect. Not sure Mitch, Sidey and a few others will be able to get back to top level.
But anyway..funny banter to read here.

2024.

A win for Collingwood on Sunday would unbelievably see them set the record for the most consecutive wins at Adelaide Oval.

Thoughts?
That’s quite amazing. And I think you have got Hawks at a handy time. We look about as likely as Richmond this week.

They're not a bad team. Plenty of season left.

2024.

Talking of streaks, I notice there is another team with looking to continue an interesting streak at Adelaide Oval.

Carlton at the Adelaide Oval:
7 games
0 wins
7 losses
Average losing margin - 63 points

Will they be 'Owen 8' at the Adelaide Oval after this weekend, or will they be 'Juan and 7' (and even get their average Adelaide Oval margin under negative 10 goals)?

A very interesting statistic.
