Ethan Read and Ben King are both 200cm +

Borlase is 192cm. Butts is a better defender than Borlase and better suited for the matchup.

It makes a lot of sense.
Butts was beaten by a sanfl player yesterday though, so where do we go from here?

He is better for the run ;)

But in all honesty Borlase played well on 31 year old 191cm Jack Darling. King is a different beast altogether.

Give me the player out of form who has the physical ability to at least matchup on King rather than the SANFL quality player who just physically can't go with King.

He played on Zurhaar

Butts won't run out an AFL game

Asking for trouble

But Borlase has been fine in pretty much every game he’s played when he’s been called upon.
People seem to go on about his fitness, yet the backs rarely come off, they don’t need to be as fit as others.

I am worried about his size not his fitness. IMO - only Murray and Butts are good enough to play on the 200cm forwards.

The surprise was Borlase playing this game

No one was expecting that

Ok, Butts is a bit underdone. Has he got enough under the belt now for a direct match up with King?

Maybe we decide he doesn't and stick with Sunday's personnel. Cross our fingers that Keane/Borlase can do the job.

All things being equal we'd go with Butts I'm sure

When was he played in the forward lines, how many goals did he kick?
He was put into the backlines and played well so we kept him there.
To say he was tried in the forward line and failed is BS.
We put him in the backlines because he wasnt a good forward.

Pretty simple.

So you'll play a guy who was one of few beaten by his opponent in a SANFL game??

Right then
Who was the player that beat Butts on the day exactly?

Tom Scully kicked 1 goal off an over the back kick he ran onto in the goal square?

How long is N Murray supposed to be out for? Any chance for this week?

I'd rest Tex, replace him with a smaller player to give us a bit more mobility and an extra potential midfield rotation in the warmer weather up there. I guess whoever is in the best form out of Pedlar , Berry or Taylor.

If it were up to me I'd also drop Milera after a pretty nothing performance against the Roos and give Nankervis another opportunity. Or possibly even Ryan, depending on how he's going. We have to have a look at him and Edwards at some point this year. But yeah, chances are that seniority probably saves Milera unless he has a solid 3-4 bad games in a row.

Up to 6 weeks one of the commentators said re Murray but best to wait for Burgo's injury update on Tuesday usually.

Butts was ordinary at best on the weekend.
He didn't star but as usual got the job done with little fanfare on a 200cm+ opponent who had zero influence on the game roaming far and wide for the few touches he had. How many 200cm+ players will the Suns have out there this week?

No way was Butts beaten by his opponent as you claim.
