Certainly a fair question.
If you do something untoward and get away with it you'll hardly be deterred from doing it again. It could very well be a case of '3 that we know of so far'.

This is a convoluted argument you're making.
Do indigenous players cop disproportionate abuse? Absolutely they do. It's gross.
Could that put a strain on someone's mental health? 100%
Does that need to be addressed in society and the AFL? I rekon it does.
Does that excuse threatening someone after a game despite no suggestion that that player has been racially abusive and making threats to players mid game? Nnnnnnope.

Port HQ deserve some criticism, but really this is just classic AFL incident management.

1. First instinct: ignore, sweep under carpet, hide, dodge, gaslight, deflect...

2. Then when they're about to look bad, find scapegoats (club-level individuals is the preferred option). Go hard on these individuals.

3. If not, then quietly pressure the club - "This is a sensitive internal club matter..."

4. If all this fails, dish info to journos to build a case. "Upon further evidence we had no choice but to act".

We are currently at Step 3.
