Had a longer break but looked tired & underperformed but full credit to the Crows for having the plan & players to beat us.
I mostly enjoyed the commentary of the game and had a good chuckle at the expense of those that were whinging & having meltdowns over the commentary they were listening to but couldn't mute it or change to better commentators. Thanks for the laughs.

Worps had the worst quarter and a half I've seen in quite a while, he's playing with zero confidence at the moment.

Cmac is a real worry for me, i just keep waiting for it to click and it just hasn't. He really he is just a bobs up a few times a night and unless he takes all his chances he really is not offering much.

Wouldn’t be the worst thing to miss finals this year, get a fire in the belly. Get an easier draw and our good players fit and firing for 2026 assault at the flag. Unfortunately, we’ve been on the back foot all year with our best players missing most of the season ( except for Newcombe and Meek).

We do not have the balls when it has mattered all season. Also we have not really beaten anyone this season. Tassie games only where most teams cannot handle the unusual conditions.

Good teams have worked us out since last season and we have a considerable way to go. 6-9 side.

Actually an excruciating finals miss would be better for the club long term.

This current list will not make a preliminary final this season, so in essence we have stalled.

Tough pill to swallow.

Lost the game at selection. 4 talls with Worpel as sub. Live and learn.

Newc fought through the pain and stood up on the last quarter. Was the reason Mass had that shot on goal, had he kicked it anything could have happened.

Barrass and Hardwick got their pants pulled down and Scrimshaw was running around like a headless chook. If it wasn't for our captain we would have lost that by 10 goals.

Moore just couldn't get going and Day ran out of legs.

Do we have enough time to sort out the tall forward mix? At the risk of getting shouted down again, yet another poor game by Chol against a top 8 team.

Chol was our second best key forward for the night and that's saying something.

Dear and Lewis both had stinkers.

Haven’t quite got the ice in our veins. Thought Adelaide were pretty impressive and we actually played pretty well. Hopefully we can get up next week and take some pressure off.

That would have to be one of the weirdest games I have watched in along time.

It is hard to win interstate but if you want to win a premiership that is what premiership teams do.

We got beaten exactly where we thought we would get beaten and our sub play arguably cost us part of the game and then came on and had a mare. That’s as bad a sub as you will see.

Missed chances, a few not standing up, crows playing like a side that realises their good and goes in harder then we did.

If we can’t fix our midfield in the next 3 games theirs not much point heading into finals.

Burnt the ball in some really key moments. It's not the end of the world but we just couldn't get the job done tonight. I assume the talk all week is going to be about the 4 talls which is fair.I didn't have anything against it but if your going to play all those talls then I would've like to have seen us have some more marking dominance.

We were good in patches but the 2nd quarter run they went on took a fair bit to peg back which we did. Anyways what done is done and we didn't look too bad but those key moments we burnt the ball really cost us and was unfortunately the difference.

Time to now set our focus to next week against the Pies on Thursday.

Crows were really good after quarter time, we are relying on the same few to win the game when it's tight. A few of our other boys need to start standing up if we are to salvage anything this year.

Sam is getting beaten by what he knows, which isn't a great thing. I wish they had played Serong as a defensive winger on Curtain, he absolutely tore us apart. Anyone who follows football could see that happening.
poor delivery into the forwards, so hard to comment on Lewis and Chol. I thought Lewis gave a decent contest, Chol not so.
Meek well beaten. Day was superb but just exhausted in the second half.

Funnily enough we did a lot right are a good side and a few tweaks put us in the premiership window. Now is not the time to be sentimental. Worpel gone what a disaster. Amon can’t play defence he’s a liability. Need the break the lines mid and another running defender. Can’t play 4 talls at either end. Meek has been poor for a while now. Play reeves worst case it gives Meek a rest and ups his trade value.

Seriously the ****ing idiots on this forum I have had to deal with for saying Chol is ahead of Lewis.

Lewis offers nothing we need at all. He can’t take a mark - I don’t care that he gets up the ground - he is useless up forward

I love Sammy but subbing off Dear was such a bad call. Lewis cannot take a contested mark for shit. I have watched every game at Box Hill this game. And the audacity of idiots on this forum to call me out for saying Lewis is not good enough is ****ing laughable.

Secondly Worpel again said it for about 20 weeks now he is absolutely putrid with the call.

At the end of the day our midfield is not good enough. Day and Newcombe are very very good but we need one more elite player. I said this about 15 weeks ago and again got called out:

Mackenzie losing confidence post injury has cost us this season.

Above points - I think we played well. Proud of the team / never thought we could have won it this year but want a preliminary final appearance so bad. Still possible if we win 2 games.

Just never want to see Worpel play for hawthorn again and Lewis should not play again in 2025
