An aberrant performance with a solid ending. What it does tell the other finals teams is that we’re susceptible to frontal pressure
See what happens when Pedlar's teammates pass him the ball and he actually gets a free kick for once in his life. He didn't play any better than his other games but walks away with 3 goals.
Also, not that it really matters, but Gossage was correct with his stat. There weren't 18 teams in the league the last time the bottom team beat the top team.

Also having previously been Perth based for 20+ years I can confirm that Gossage is an annoying flog

I mean, all sides are and West Coast applied it for 4 quarters. It was built up as a big game for them given the retirements.

I thought West Coast were decent. They applied hard tackles and pressured.
They also converted pretty well when they had the chance.
Good game to get through tbh … learned a lot and still won. Would rather that than a complete one sided belting at this time of the year!

Some credit needs to go to the Eagles for their forward efficiency. They had one of those game where it felt like they couldn't miss right up until the last quarter. They really made us pay and were kicking even the difficult chances.

I thought he was soundly beaten by a bashed up Flynn.
Ive been critical of ROB in the past but his past two months have been outstanding. I didnt see that yesterday and I thought he was pretty poor. Just my opinion.
Covered 277km against Eagles, Eagles did 284km themselves
Hawthorn we did 306km, Hawks did 307km
Port we did 297km, Port did 289km
Suns we did 293km, Suns did 295km
Bulldogs we did 293km, Dogs did 288km
Melbourne we did 291km, Dees did 289km.
So yea, we did a bit less running overall, but i'd say that was the game in general as well I think.
Had 15 which was 2nd best results for the year (17 last week against Hawthorn is the season high). He averages 11.1 for the year. Flynn averages 5.9 for the year and had 5, so his normal output really.

Everyone is susceptible to pressure. Every team would bring pressure like that every week if they could.
Beaten around the ground late in the game which RoB has been very strong in the last 2 months and is his quality as shown in 2020, don't recall him dropping any mark he got his hand first.
Think it was a collision involving 2 crows players in D50 where a WC player got caught in between? Didn't look intentional at the time I saw it.
ROB did not get towelled...... at all.
