Incorrect. He's just the flavour of this week.Darcy Cameron?
Incorrect. He was just the flavour of last week. Will Ashcroft ?
Are you saying it's more accurate to assess a player based on a stats sheet, than to actually watch them play, and see what they do with the ball and how much impact they have on the game?Just remember everyone: Media subjectiveness is more important than statistical objectiveness according to some here.

Gee you’re dim.So you don’t rate Ablett Snr. Wow
Again, incredibly basic and childishWow big statement from a Tiges fan to say Wayne Campbell is better than Dusty Martin. Huge. Wow just wow
demondavey - remember, SOTY'S comments originated in response to this post.I find it pretty remarkable that given all the fawning over Daicos that he isn’t even rated 1st by his own club at the B&F.
It’s clear that he has become very overrated. It’s more of a wake up call I think, stop peddling stats that lead into all these player ratings when quite obviously we are seeing stats grossly overrated against impact. I think he is an excellent player but I don’t think he is anywhere near as good as people have made him out to be. I mean, even his club thinks he isn’t the best and fairest.
Might be time to kill this thread I think…
Not sure what all the arguments are about, Darcy Cameron was their best player this year according to Collingwood
Why is that a bad thing? Only if you’re trying to say Nick is the goat when he’s not rated best on the team
Suggesting I don’t rate Ablett Snr for example which in turn suggests I don’t rate Daicos?demondavey - remember, SOTY'S comments originated in response to this post.
And he's the childish one?
The irony of this is that all you lot do is rate him on stats. Are you saying it's more accurate to assess a player based on a stats sheet, than to actually watch them play, and see what they do with the ball and how much impact they have on the game?
Oh boy...
What will be your stance when he signs with Tasmania ?
No, the irony was you calling others childish and basic, when the whole back and forth started with a ridiculously childish post of your own.The irony of this is that all you lot do is rate him on stats.
Love than you guys are all about wishing what is to happen in the future...What will be your stance when he signs with Tasmania ?
He suggested I didn’t rate Ablett Snr….No, the irony was you calling others childish and basic, when the whole back and forth started with a ridiculously childish post of your own.
You really need to work on your self awareness...He suggested I didn’t rate Ablett Snr….
If anything is childish I think it’s that comment
Yes, couldn’t agree more.It's really a bit of a laugh, isn't it?
Their own obsession with Naicos lends them to complaining about their own B&F, where Darcy (as a stuffing damned good player) wins the award and is basically ridiculed for it.
I know Naicos is a gun/jet and I think we'd all acknowledge this more often if they weren't constantly having such a bukkake about him all the time.
How does it feel to continually hope that another club will one day be as bad as your club actually is, and that the other club will one day have the mass walkout of players you are currently seeing at your club?Haven't taken your morning meds yet ?
To the contrary....the 2-3 Collingwood supporters who post daily on this site can’t understand the hate for Daicos
Just remember everyone: Media subjectiveness is more important than statistical objectiveness according to some here.
Have you not seen him constantly throw his head back, stage for free kicks, appeal/whinge to the umps? He's one of the main offenders in the league at playing for frees.Yes, couldn’t agree more.
Nick Daicos is a star of the competition. One of the best starts to a career in history. Exciting and scrupulously fair.
And seems a genuinely great person.
Yet, many non Collingwood supporters hate him. I have always loved watching the best players no matter what team they played for.
But the media obsession and sites like this one contribute to people disliking Daicos because the adulation is way out of control.
the 2-3 Collingwood supporters who post daily on this site can’t understand the hate for Daicos but if they checked their ego for a second, they would understand their ridiculousness contributes significantly to that hate. (And worse still openly troll people to get a reaction and then brag about the success of the site, just weird)
8 flags to your 3 in the last 7 decades, I know which id prefer ! Your club is a continual failureHow does it feel to continually hope that another club will one day be as bad as your club actually is, and that the other club will one day have the mass walkout of players you are currently seeing at your club?
Oh boy.
This isn't the banter thread, as poor and desperate as that 'banter' is.8 flags to your 3 in the last 7 decades, I know which id prefer ! Your club is a continual failure
Be my guest. If you give it about TDK you are going to get it back with Daicos
DD wants his bad takes hidden. The panic is setting in as the accolades continue to pile up.I reckon this thread is done…. Surely mods looking to close it
