Is that unusual though? Only 7 still remaining at Melbourne who played in 2014: Jones, Viney, Tom McDonald, Jetta, Kennedy Harris, Gawn, Salemyep only 8 who played in 2014 left - Hoff, Boak, Robbie, Ebo, Broadbent, Hartlett, Jonas, Wines, and 2012 draftee Clurey and 2013 draftees DBJ and Amon
We played in a PF in 2014, Melbourne were 17th with 4 wins and if you mean 2013 17th with 2 wins.Is that unusual though? Only 7 still remaining at Melbourne who played in 2014: Jones, Viney, Tom McDonald, Jetta, Kennedy Harris, Gawn, Salem

Watch rocky average 30+ for the yearOne of the players who should benefit from the change in game-style is Clurey due to his running ability. Another player who may blossom is (The Pig) Tom Rockcliff. The absence of Wines allows him to be more aggressive and play his natural game. It was almost as if we tried to turn him into something else when he came from Brisbane.
How they had no one goal side or in the running path of Gray staggers me

JackI’m a bit nervous about Clurey and Jonas as our only KPDs. One ankle sprain and we’re in shambles.
C’mon show a bit of respect! He is a Port player ya know!!Kenny must of been crying uncontrollably when he left S.gray out of the side.

I know... but are 7 and 8 very low numbers or fairly typical? We played in a PF in 2014, Melbourne were 17th with 4 wins and if you mean 2013 17th with 2 wins.
No idea but as a guide;I know... but are 7 and 8 very low numbers or fairly typical?
Was too curious to let it slip because it feels like player movements are higher these days. From the 2014 finalists, players still on the senior list that played in 2014:No idea but as a guide;
2004 Flag squad was 39+4 rookies. We had an older premiership team than average in 2004 but 2009 squad still 15 players left
Won Flag - Tredders, Chad, Kane, Shaun, Peter, Lade, Dom, Brogan, Carr, Thurstans
Squad player - Chaplin, Surjan, Pettigrew, Ebert, Salopek
Geelong had to retire all those 2007-11 dynasty stars that mainly started getting drafted and traded from 1999-2002 period. Was too curious to let it slip because it feels like player movements are higher these days. From the 2014 finalists, players still on the senior list that played in 2014:
Sydney: 13 players
Hawthorn: 12 players
Geelong: 8 players
Fremantle: 7 players
North: 12 players
Essendon: 12 players
Richmond: 11 players
So while we're at the lower end, it's not outrageous, especially given our 2015-2018 results.
