We played in a PF in 2014, Melbourne were 17th with 4 wins and if you mean 2013 17th with 2 wins.

Melbournes forward line is scary, but its their smalls which could rip through us. Again.

In the end i think we have a side on the park thats winnable, i’m just not sure we will.

2004 Flag squad was 39+4 rookies. We had an older premiership team than average in 2004 but 2009 squad still 15 players left

Won Flag - Tredders, Chad, Kane, Shaun, Peter, Lade, Dom, Brogan, Carr, Thurstans
Squad player - Chaplin, Surjan, Pettigrew, Ebert, Salopek

Was too curious to let it slip because it feels like player movements are higher these days. From the 2014 finalists, players still on the senior list that played in 2014:
Sydney: 13 players
Hawthorn: 12 players
Geelong: 8 players
Fremantle: 7 players
North: 12 players
Essendon: 12 players
Richmond: 11 players

So while we're at the lower end, it's not outrageous, especially given our 2015-2018 results.

Geelong had to retire all those 2007-11 dynasty stars that mainly started getting drafted and traded from 1999-2002 period.

Not sure why Freo has had such a big turnover.
