It was to allow the Womens GF to have clear air on a Saturday arvo & not be up against a Mens Game. So what do they do? Schedule the womens GF on Sunday up against North/Brisbane. Go figure.

I think the AFLW GF was always planned on Saturday arvo by the AFL, with the assumption that the Crows team does not make the grand final and play at home.

Don’t worry, the smart guys at the AFL have scheduled 4 games tonight in the space of about 3 hours so we can get our footy fix all at the one time

Good post. I was thinking the same thing all morning and then looked on here for a post exactly like yours and seconds later bam! ****ing thieving campaigners robbing us of valuable AFL time. Luckily I'm watching the NBA and March Madness before the main course.

It's practice to allow people to do stuff during the day and have the fantastic twilight footy. Atleast that's one of the justifications to move the GF

All games were traditionally on Saturday afternoon because there were no lights and the game was played by people who worked Mon-Fri and often Sat morning. Sunday was traditionally a religious day where nobody did much at all.
