It is really interesting both boys did this at the same time.

They would not have said no to Tasmania without quiet assurances from the AFL Port will be able to take both in the context of the new bidding rules.
Or they just don't want to play for a fledgling club with next to zero chance of playing finals during their football career.

heavy breathing

I wish I knew the 16 year olds weight
Undrafted players weights sure, but once they hit draft combines their weights and skin fold results should be public knowledge, as per their height and test results. We all know why we don't get them for the AFL, and it's nothing to do with male players. Why the AFL couldn't have just said they wouldn't publish AFLW players weight whilst they are a semi-professional league (at best), but as per the AFL, goes with a 'solution' that just makes things worse.

I've never seen why we, the public, ever needed to know player weights.

I agree. They were always inaccurate, I reckon Nic Nat had the same listed weight for like 8 years. You can judge players' fitness and performances without it.

Very good middle distance runner against a midget.
16 possies in the first quarter against Vic Metro.
Possibility of tall midfielder.
Loves Port Adelaide.

It's very exciting and hopefully his bro is good to go as well.

I'm a little surprised the PAFC is Louis Salopek's chosen destination as IMO the relationship between his father Steven and the club appeared to have gone a tad sour during his last few years on the list.

After Steven was dropped to the Glenelg reserves in 2012 Port paid a ridiculous transfer fee to reclaim its own player, but he didn't perform particularly well for the Maggies after the move from Brighton road either.

From memory he didn't play for the Power again after the 2011 season and I have a vague recollection of him being a late withdrawal from some Maggie's games, but they may have been injury related.

I think Steven was delisted (it may have been by mutual decision), but he was only about 26 or 27 when he returned to Melbourne where he trained with a couple of AFL clubs (for no takers), and he finished his career in a suburban comp.

The above aside if Louis's preference is Port, the club wants him and is successful in that endeavour, then all power to him! :thumbsu:
