Player Watch #17: Riley 'Stiffy' Hardeman

Let’s hope he stays with North long term .
If he starts in the VFL ok but if he starts playing well get him into AFL.
I think this guy can play 200+ games for us but we have to look after him.

Will displace LMac on the back line by years end.
Quality player with better quality leadership traits.

Looks to be tracking along nicely. Would prefer to see us slowly build him up as I don’t think he’s quite ready for the step up to AFL level.
 
Probably another week or two, but he was impressive.

-Chased all the way from our side of centre wing, started from 5m back, all the way to back pocket and made a goal saving spoil.

-links up well and hits targets., always looking to break lines. 100m player ball in hand

-actually defends and is of similar if not better size to our current half backs. Also genuinely quick.

After another game or so like that from Riley, Push Scott to the wing and give Hardeman a stint at HB and let him and Bergman fight it out for that spot.

Has good leadership qualities for the future too captain of the WA U18 side last year
